just alittle bit of info about myself, family and business

im from Sheffield in the UK, i first moved to Switzerland in 2008 for work and also to be with my Now Swiss wife. i started the business in September 2016 as an after thought when i had friends visit from the UK and wanted to see Switzerland and its mountain passes, since i know the roads pretty well it seems like a good fit with my life

and family. my Wife helps with eh accomadation side of things and the food arrangements while i do the bike side of things on most levels. joined by our Son Valentino Randy and the Dog Jack Daniel's we run a nice small family business that wlcomes all. im currently not doing stay overs are my current house BUT in the very near future i will have 2 apartments for rent 10 mins from the house all year around, a workshop with tools should people want and need them and the ability to get things sorted for more serious matters with bike related issues should they arise. bikes can be rented if needed and the apartments any time of year should people just want a normal holiday or go skiing and so on, 1 hour from italian border aswell. if people have any questions please message us or email and we would be happy to help. tours fitted around peoples budgets and things can be arranged for a fee, airport pick ups cars to rent are all possible.

Important note: The Susten Pass will reopen on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 1000 hrs.

On the Bernese side open to Steingletscher.

Important note: Sustenstrasse will be closed to traffic from 4.6.2025, from 2000 hrs to 5.6.2025, 0600 hrs due to surfacing work between Hopflauenen and Nessental. There will be a detour for urgent trip up to 3.5t.

those still closed are not opening till mid June unless freak hot weather happens

pray for more climate change people get them passes open

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS AREA

The Village of Blatten near Interlarken has serious issues right now, the Mountain top is Literally falling off, this isnt a joke the whole area is off limits places are empty and excauated.
the size of the mountain top is something like 25000 + tons at the very least that will come down, there isnt a way to stop is and its just a matter of time now.
PLEASE bare this in mind when traveling and riding the passes

ROAD UPDATES

So it seems the passes like the Grimsel and Furka will MAYBE open at the end of this month, Weather depending

BUT the Susten will be mid June as will the Nufenen pass unless weather gets better as this week is heavy rain

some pass tops have become unstable and villages have also been cleared due to possible large rock formations falling down

also some smaller land slides in and around the main passes.

other passes will be posted when i know full clearer details

The Gotthard Pass is to be re-opened to through traffic on Friday at 11am. A partial re-opening is also planned for the Susten Pass.

The heavy snowfall that covered much of the Valais at the end of last week is still wreaking havoc on the canton.
