1. Speed is the key! Mantain a minimum speed of 2 knots. Otherwise wind will take control and drag you. 2. Have everything prepared: Ensure all ropes are set, the crew is aware of their roles, and fenders are correctly positioned. 3. Drop the anchor before: (This is specific for docking in Greece, anchors are used instead of mooring lines) Remember that your boat will drag a bit from when you start dropping the anchor.
