It seems paradoxical but yes, the more we have the less we share. The less we have, the more we develop this capacity to be in compassion and sharing with others.
I notice this every time I am in India. People manage to live with so much less than we do in Europe, in the United States, etc., and yet they seem to manage to stay connected to something essential: they remain attentive to others, to their well-being, as if it were impossible for them to enjoy for themselves if other humans, next to them, remain in lack, suffering and need.
Of course, I put this observation in its context and on a continuum; of course, not everyone behaves like this and there are people more or less attentive to others, or not, all over this planet. However, yes, it is an observation that is quite true, in proportion, in most developing countries. And without any doubt, India is still part of it.
That is why I think that the Indians, among many other inhabitants of these countries, where a large part of the population still lives in the countryside and with a simple life but so connected to essential things, have so much to teach us! It is urgent today, and perhaps Covid is actively participating in accelerating this movement, to become aware of the importance of reconnecting with this essential; it is at the heart of what makes us live in joy. It is about reconnecting to our truth, to the truth of others, developing our love for ourselves, for others and growing our compassion and sense of sharing. 🤗

Ja, es ist schön und tiefgründig, was Mutter Teresa hier sagt und bezeugt.
Es scheint paradox, aber ja, je mehr wir haben, desto weniger teilen wir. Je weniger wir haben, desto mehr entwickeln wir die Fähigkeit Mitgefühl zu haben und mit anderen zu teilen.
Das merke ich jedes Mal, wenn ich in Indien bin. Die Menschen dort leben mit so viel weniger als wir in Europa, in den USA usw. und doch scheinen sie es zu schaffen, mit etwas Wesentlichem verbunden zu bleiben: Sie bleiben auf andere aufmerksam, auf ihr Wohlergehen, als ob es es ihnen unmöglich wäre, sich selbst zu erfreuen, wenn andere Menschen neben ihnen in Mangel, Leiden und Not bleiben.
Natürlich stelle ich diese Beobachtung in ihren Kontext und auf ein Kontinuum; Natürlich verhält sich nicht jeder so und es gibt Menschen auf diesem Planeten, die mehr oder weniger aufmerksam auf andere sind, oder nicht. Aber ja, diese Beobachtung trifft im Verhältnis auf die meisten Entwicklungsländer zu. Und Indien ist ohne Zweifel immer noch ein Teil davon.
Deshalb denke ich, dass uns die Inder, neben vielen anderen Bewohnern dieser Länder, in denen ein Grossteil der Bevölkerung noch auf dem Land lebt mit einem einfachen Leben, aber so mit dem Wesentlichen verbunden ist, so viel beizubringen haben! Es ist heute dringend erforderlich, und vielleicht beteiligt sich Covid aktiv an der Beschleunigung dieser Bewegung, sich der Bedeutung der Wiederverbindung mit diesem Wesentlichen bewusst zu werden; es ist das Herz dessen, was uns in Freude leben lässt. Es geht darum, uns wieder mit unserer Wahrheit zu verbinden, mit der Wahrheit anderer, unsere Liebe zu uns selbst und zu anderen zu entwickeln und unser Mitgefühl und unseren Sinn für das Teilen zu steigern. 🤗
Ein ambitioniertes Programm, ich weiss.

Oui, c’est beau et profond ce que Mère Teresa dit et témoigne ici.⠀
Cela paraît paradoxal mais oui, plus on a et moins on partage. Moins on a, et plus on développe cette capacité d’être dans la compassion et le partage avec autrui.⠀
Je remarque ça, à chaque fois que je suis en Inde. Les gens parviennent à vivre avec tellement moins que nous en Europe, aux États-Unis etc. et pourtant, ils semblent parvenir à rester connectés à quelque chose d’essentiel: ils restent attentifs aux autres, à leur bien-être, comme s’ils leur étaient impossible de savourer pour eux-mêmes si d’autres humains, à côté d’eux, restent dans le manque, la souffrance et le besoin.⠀
Bien sûr, je replace toutefois cette observation dans son contexte et sur un continuum; bien sûr que tout le monde ne se comporte pas comme ça et qu’il y a des gens plus ou moins attentifs aux autres, ou pas, un peu partout sur cette planète. Toutefois oui, c’est quand même une observation qui est assez vraie, en proportion, dans la plupart des pays en voie de développement. Et sans aucun doute, l’Inde en fait encore partie.⠀
C’est notamment pourquoi, je pense que les Indiens, parmi beaucoup d’autres habitants de ces pays, où une grande part de la population vit encore dans les campagnes et avec une vie simple mais tellement connectée à des choses essentielles, ont tant à nous apprendre!
