Jura & Three-Lakes

The region #Jura3Lakes is a land of myths and legends as well as of living traditions. It will captivate you through its untouched nature, the diversity of its landscapes. It is also impressive with its architectural heritage and its history.

This region is the cradle of traditional artisanship and knowledge such as Fine Watchmaking. In fact, the art of watchmaking is so deeply rooted in its regional history that it has had a huge impact on the urban planning of the towns La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Locle. These two cities belong to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.

As for tastes and flavours, gourmets can enjoy a wide range of delicacies: Absinthe from Val-de-Travers, surrounded by legends of secret distillation; Tête de Moine AOC pared into delicate rosettes; or perhaps traditional “Treberwurst” sausage cooked over the steam of a distilling flask.

As a destination for those looking for fresh air, the Jura & Three-Lake Region is best to be on foot, by bicycle… or why not on a Freiberger horse.
