Tanzania’s third largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. Post the game drive, you will head back to Kankari lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.
*Day 2 - Tarangire to Central Serengeti*
After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner at Tukaone tented camp/ Narudi tented or similar
*Day 3 - Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro*
After breakfast, you will go on a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Later, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and a fourteen kilometre long isolated natural beauty. The Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and is home to some 30,000 animals on its waterhole-strewn floor. The eventful day ends with heavy, delicious meals at Ang'ata tented camp/Rhino Lodge.
*Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater tour (5 hours) to Arusha*
You will set off early on the last day of your safari. After a quick breakfast, you will make your way to the crater floor at around 6.30 am. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world. The crater floor is about 260 square kilometres in size and over 2000 feet deep. On the 5-hour game drive on the crater floor you will see a lot of animals. It is definitely advisable to have your camera ready. African elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs and lions abound. After a picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo Pool, you begin a steep climb to the upper exit of the crater. 🦒🦒🦒3 days Lake Manyara Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater🦏🦏🦏
Number of people: 2
Three of northern Tanzania's most famous national parks in three days. First you visit Tarangire National Park with its large herds of elephants and towering baobab trees. Then you drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, a true animal paradise with the opportunity to observe the "Big Five" in one day. Finally, Lake Manyara National Park awaits you with its tree-climbing lions and more than 400 different bird species.
*Day 01 Arusha Airport - Manyara National Park*
After arriving at Arusha Airport in the afternoon, you will be picked up and drive to Lake Manyara National Park together with your tour guide. The park is dominated by the lake of the same name, which attracts large colonies of water birds. The pink flamingos are particularly impressive, but many other bird species such as cormorants, pelicans and storks can also be observed here. A total of around 400 different bird species live in the park. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, which are mostly found in the central, open part of the park. During the safari you will also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and many other animal species. Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon, dinner and overnight at Fanaka Lodge or similar accommodation.
*Day 02: Manyara Park - Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, our journey to the Ngorongoro Crater begins. We pass the small town of Mto wa Mbu and soon see Lake Manyara. After the small town of Karatu, the journey takes us along the steep slopes of the East African Rift Valley into the highlands of the Ngorongoro Crater. We then descend about 600 metres into the crater on sometimes adventurous roads. The crater has a diameter of 17-21 kilometres and is home to a large animal world. Almost the entire biodiversity of the East African savannah has gathered here, not only giraffes and some other animal species live in the crater, for which the rock faces are too steep. Depending on the time of year, between 15,000 and 25,000 animals gather here, of which more than two thirds are buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. This large number of grazing animals also explains why the crater has the highest density of predators in Africa. In addition to other predators, more than 100 lions live here, which are divided into different prides. The chances of spotting the "Big Five" lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard in just a few hours are particularly good here. Return to Karatu in the late afternoon. Overnight stay and dinner at Fanaka Lodge and Camp.
*Day 3 Tarangire National Park - Arusha Airport
After breakfast, departure for Tarangire National Park. The national park emerged from a former colonial hunting ground in 1970. It has a very diverse wildlife, partly due to its size, which is roughly the size of Luxembourg. The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in northern Tanzania, but is also home to many other wild animals. With a bit of luck, you may spot lions, cheetahs or leopards. The landscape of the park is very varied. Particularly impressive are the huge baobab trees, which stand close together in the north-eastern part of the park. After an extensive safari, you drive to Arusha airport in the late afternoon, where your flight departs.
End your safari with us.
