In a recent interview, I said that biologically, the fact that I'm here and was born to my parents is random. 😂 It even surprised me because I had never thought about it that way before. Hence, the spontaneity of the moment.

Not to mention that I enjoy interviewing people far more than being interviewed, even though I believe we are all here to learn from and support each other. I’ve learned a lot from all 21 conversations in the Creative Bites series over the past few months. I'm excited to share my latest post where I delve into the importance of supporting creatives in our society. After a simple call-out for musicians willing to perform in Davos in January 2025, I was stunned by the overwhelming response - from pianists, singers, jazz musicians, DJs, and bands of all kinds, to make-up artists. This experience opened my eyes to the challenges creatives face and the vital role they play in enriching our lives.

This is how someone entering a construction site should look: helmet, proper shoes (trust me, they’re there), and a vest - everything designed to protect you and your body. This thought really stuck with me yesterday as I walked a construction site here in Switzerland, guided by one of the engineers. I was completely blown away by what human imagination can achieve and how things are built from scratch.

But one thought kept lingering in my mind: when we embark on our entrepreneurial journeys, we rarely think about needing a helmet, vest, or proper shoes (and unlike a construction site, no one stops us at the entrance asking for our permit to proceed, and too often, there’s no guide to warn us about the dangers - like that hole 3 meters ahead).

As Prof. Loredana Padurean writes in her book Nail It, Scale It, Sail It, it often feels like we’re navigating a jungle with just a machete, trying to cut through the chaos, completely unprepared - that’s the ‘nailing’ stage of building a business.

In fact, I’d take it further: we’re not just navigating a jungle - we're barefoot, in a bikini, with only a Swiss Army knife (or maybe without it, since airport security might have taken it!). The path is full of uncertainty, yet we dive in with one unwavering belief - that what we’re doing matters, and that our vision is worth pursuing, no matter how tough the journey might become.

In my experience, this entrepreneurial drive often comes from deep within us - an unwavering belief and trust that anything is possible when we focus on our North Star. Just a few philosophical reflections this morning as I think about Professor Loredana’s upcoming book launch. I can’t wait to dive into it!

Recently, I was invited to take part in a very important interview - one of those opportunities that, you know, I can't quite talk about yet. But in that moment, as I prepared for the interview, I couldn’t help but reflect on what a privilege it is to be in this position. It's humbling to realize that there are people around the world who find inspiration in my work, people who resonate with the stories I share and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

What struck me most, though, was this overwhelming feeling of gratitude. I never imagined I’d reach a point where individuals would approach me for a conversation, let alone ask me for an interview. To have the chance to share my journey with others is something I’ll never take for granted.

For this special occasion, I sent a picture to my mom because, coincidentally, I was wearing her shirt - a shirt that’s over 30 years old now. It felt symbolic, as if I was carrying a piece of her wisdom with me during the interview. I mentioned her a few times, acknowledging the guidance she’s given me at one of the most pivotal moments of my life. Her influence redirected me, helping me find a path that’s uniquely mine.

It was a powerful reminder of how connected our personal journeys are to those who have shaped us, and how important it is to share our stories in the hope that they inspire others to embrace their own.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend filled with moments of reflection, connection, and gratitude. Take time to appreciate the people and experiences that have helped you along your path.

One of my favorite things to do when I don't know what to do (which happens all too seldom) is to watch short films. They always have a way of touching the heart and sparking the imagination. My absolute favorite? La Luna by Pixar. 🌙

There's something so magical about the simplicity and wonder of this short film. It’s a beautiful reminder of the power of dreams, tradition, and finding your own way—even when the path isn’t clear. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend taking a few minutes to enjoy this little gem. It might just brighten your day and inspire you to look at the moon a little differently. 🌟
