What a great day in Zermatt with old friends who know how to find fresh snow long after the storm has passed. We covered two countries and a lot of vertical.

In Zermatt for a few days visiting those who are still here and missing those who aren’t.

Our friend Sonnia died from cancer in January. She was an amazing skier, displayed an endless imagination, and truly cared about enjoying every possible moment in life. It was a ‘gift’ as she’d say.

So today is dedicated to her and enjoying the opportunities that lie ahead

On-mountain beverage bar at Mount Shasta Ski Park

In April of this year (2024), our friends Tanner and Parker were swept down Mount Shasta after triggering a wind slab avalanche. After a 12 hour ground rescue, they were finally off the mountain, but they both sustained physical and mental injuries from the traumatic event.
Ashley does a great job with her podcasts by putting together these stories in an effort to look back on possible errors and gain insight in an effort to prevent future mis-steps.
