Founded in 2004 to meet the needs of parents and students in both the local and expatriate communities of Beijing, The Learning Center (TLC) has now worked with well over 1000 students, ranging in age from pre-school to adult. ny other academic subjects. Who We Are:
TLC is dedicated to providing the best possible tutor for your child and we choose our teachers with the utmost care. All are native English speakers who are certified teachers and/or qualified TEFL/CELTA instructors from England, Ireland, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and the United States. They have diverse backgrounds, most of whom have had previous experience living and working overseas. In order to work as a teacher at TLC, candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, though many of our teachers have also completed postgraduate studies. TLC teachers have a passion for their subject areas and enjoy sharing that passion with students. In addition to the experience our tutors bring to our center, we also provide ongoing training and support to ensure the best possible service. What We Do:
TLC offers K-12 tutoring programs and small group workshops for every student, at every stage, from early reading to college prep. TLC has extensive knowledge of curricula from around the world as well as an understanding of the materials and methods used in local and international schools, and we incorporate that knowledge into programs that suit local and expatriate students with a desire to achieve global results. Our goal is to compliment the programs in your child’s school, and we are happy to coordinate with teachers and/or learning support staff in order to provide assistance where it is most needed.
