Naran’s hotel and guest house owners have announced significant discounts to help offset the effects of inflation and rising fuel prices.
As festive occasions approach, tourists typically flock to the country’s northern regions. However, the current economic climate has forced many potential visitors to reconsider their plans, as the costs of travel have become prohibitively expensive.
To incentivize tourism, Naran’s hotel and guest house owners have announced significant discounts to help offset the effects of inflation and rising fuel prices.
Hotel Association Naran has announced a 30% decrease in rents for hotels and guest houses. Association President Matiullah Jan stated that the move is expected to attract a large number of tourists to the area.
There are more than 2,500 hotels and guest houses throughout the Mansehra district, from Balakot to Babusar Top. The hospitality industry in the region provides an income for over 250,000 people, representing a significant portion of the local population.
Earning a livelihood for the entire year from just two and a half months of business during the summer season is a testament to the industry’s importance.
The Punjab Chief Minister, Hamza Shehbaz, has issued an order regulating the rents of all hotels and guest houses in Murree. This is part of the ongoing ‘Dilkash Murree’ project, which includes initiatives such as setting up tourism police, installing CCTV cameras, and motorbike ambulances.
