Today is the Dragon Boat Festival in China! We take a break from our routine to enjoy the beautiful Dragon Boat Festival celebrations. We, at the CBTravel & Event wish you a joyous holiday season with your loved ones.

We predicted the progress of China travel this year in December of last year and planned the 2023 CBTravel Calendar, which has kept us busy for the past three months. In the three months since China removed all travel restrictions and opened the border to tourists in March, we have organised and led numerous groups that have travelled around China. The Hunan Culinary Adventure, Hike the Great Wall, and Huian Photo Tour are among the most popular. "Hike the Great Wall" has a brief video recap and it is now available on my YouTube channel. I hope you will have time to look at it and be inspired by it. Please subscribe, and we will continue to upload video recaps.

Our CBTravel Calendar for the second half of the year is currently being updated. On October 06-08, a three-day visit to China's wine Chateau region Yantai is available now for booking. (Click here for more information). China will remain our primary destination, but tailored trips to other Asian countries, South America, and the Mediterranean have already resumed. In the coming months, we hope to create even more exciting tours.

Qinghai Tibet Railway!

Taking the Qinghai Tibet Railway from
Xining to Lhasa is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The trail traversed the Kunlun Mountains, the TuoTuo Rivers, the Hoh Xil, and the Tanggula Mountain Range, among many other places. Sayram Lake is located near Kazakhstan's border in the Tian Shan mountain, 90 kilometres west of Bole in Xinjiang. Sayram is a Kazakh word that meaning 'blessing'. It is also renowned as the biggest and highest alpine lake in Xinjiang. It has sapphire-like clean water. As spring arrives in May, the lake evaporates, meadows become green, and alpine flowers blossom. Our next ride in May will be to Sayram Lake in Xinjiang.

The cherry blossom is one of the most beautiful springtime displays. When we see cherry blossoms, Japan frequently comes to mind. Thank you to the Japanese cherry tree missionaries who have diligently planted cherry trees around the world over the years. Cherry blossoms are now associated with peace and friendship. Wuxi's Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head) has one of the most spectacular cherry blossom displays in China. There have already been some early cherry blossoms, and the full bloom is predicted for the middle to end of March.

The homecoming of Xiang Xiang, the much-loved Japan-born Giant Panda sparked a wave of Panda fever in town. Xiang Xiang is presently residing at the Giant Panda Research Base and Institute in Bifengxia. If you want to visit Xiang Xiang and other giant pandas and see how they spend their days, being a Giant Panda volunteer for a day is an option.

We, a group of 4 friends (20+, 30+, 40+, 50+) went on a bikepacking trip about 160 km. in the Tianmu Mountains in Zhejiang Anji last weekend. It was fun and adventurous experience for all of us. We climbed 2000 meters in two days and enjoyed the beautiful countryside along the way. Besides we ate the delicious local dishes. When we returned home we felt refreshed and energised.
