The Yeepeng(lantern) Festival, so called "Valentine's Day of Thailand". At that night, thouthands lanterns fly and light up the sky.

The tradition of lantern in Chiang Mai has a history of more than 2500 years. It is a traditional festival for Lanna people to pray to the gods for blessings and unleashing bad luck, pain and bad things.
