This place is a green oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle of Guangzhou - a natural trail leading to a hidden lake with crystal clear water. However despite of the natural beauty of these places there still seem to be too many people who are not aware of the damage their doing by throwing trash out in nature. Yesterday Pacha Mama Adventures organized a clean up initiative of the trail and the lake. During the cleanup we’ve engaged with the locals who also enjoy coming to the lake and we’ve encouraged them to help us with the clean up. Out of all the garbage that we collected we’ve managed to separate the recyclable plastic and depose of it at a recycling drop off point, 8 kg all together. We hope that this could become a regular initiative which could help to spread awareness and reach those people who still haven’t learned to respect nature.
