International Medical Students Society for Academic and Research (IMSSAR) is founded by research oriented medical students of International Education College, Jiangxi University of TCM, Nanchang, CHINA, motivated by the need to join the greater research fraternity in and inventing new ways. It will equip the members in adapting new practical lab skills, proficiency in writing publications, opening
up opportunities in and out of the college. It sees the professors sharing their experience with the members something not gained in the lectures. The relationship of the school managerial body and the members is made closer with establishment of good rapport between the two parties. Members in the senior most year and the juniors get a unique and open interactive sessions. This is a community created in the advent of the society with a great main purpose: multidisciplinary research. Outside affiliations are also welcomed as this will open a new wider local and international platform for multidisciplinary cooperation which is the main determinant of a positive outcome. We would like to uplift the college’s image across the country and around the globe. The greater share of benefits goes to the individual members. With proper leadership and rules in place and open endless support from the college’s office and the edifying, insightful experience brought in by the eminent professors, the commitment and spirit of the members is uplifted and this is a new platform for acquiring research skills and great inventions. The scientific facts currently are true unless proven otherwise. It’s a fact that cancer can be expensively managed today, but can be cured if otherwise. H.I.V/AIDS has no cure including many diseases. This sounds a big dream and yes that is where we start from and making it a reality requires a multidisciplinary research platform. It’s an endless effort and commitment and a vision that will fuel us towards achieving it. Governments spend a huge percentage in their budgets in combating non-curable diseases e.g. ARVs for HIV/AIDS which can be later treated if investment towards research is now intensified. If this kind of passionate support is directed towards research, health will eventually be promoted. We look forward to strengthening our society and with the appropriate support, focus in achieving our objectives and lifting high the health and scientific standards.
