Damon is our co-founder and the driving force behind this project. He and his German wife Sonja have been growing cannáb1s and hand-crafting edibles on a farm in Maine over the past 10 years.

Damon first came to Colombia 🇨🇴 about 14 years ago, but it wasn’t until a trip in 2021 with his family, that he helplessly fell in love with the country, its people, culture, and developing cannáb1s industry. 💚 🌿

During Damon’s and Sonja’s first travels to Colombia, they realized how hard it was for a foreigner visiting the country for the first time to find good flower. 🤯 It took them about 3 months in the country to find good quality material, and by the time they had all their ducks in a row, it was time to go back home. Imagine taking a hot shower with vast amounts of water! That’s what a hot waterfall feels like! At Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs you will get a chance to jump from hot tub to hot tub until you have found the perfect one with just the right temperature for you to soak and chill. Sigh! After all the hard work we’ll have lunch at the hotel with a hot rock massage for dessert.

These hot springs are heated by tectonic forces that built and are building the Andes as we speak. Cumanday, as the native Americans called it, is a volcano, but not a threat to us because is sleeping (please do not disturb him). Cumanday is the one heating up these hot springs which we will get to explore hiking up to see where they form.

Finca El Huerto 🍃 ✨ your home for the next few days, is only 13 km away from El Eden, an international airport serving Armenia, the capital of the Quindío Department of Colombia.

The second closest airport to our location is Matecaña International Airport (PEI) located in Pereira, just a 2-hour drive away from where you will be staying.

We highly recommend flying to El Eden International(AXM) 🛬
from Fort Lauderdale International (FLL) or Panama City (PTY). However, if it suits your journey better to fly through Bogota or Medellín, we can also arrange transportation for you to the airport in these cities (The cost is not included in the tour). If you have an overnight layover in these cities, the cost will be extra from the price of the tour.

The cannabis industry in Colombia is growing rapidly. There is flower and there are extracts of amazing quality, and some companies are already exporting to the U.S. and Europe. However, it requires insider knowledge to find these growers and extractors. When we first came to Colombia it took us a long time to find good flower, and by the time we had all our ducks in a row, it was time to head home to Maine to start our own outdoor season.

Setting foot in the Cocora Valley for the first time can bring up a lot of emotions. 💚🌿 Look up! Sixty meters tall, Colombia’s national tree, the iconic wax palm, almost went extinct. Cocora Valley is the place to go to still find them.
