WHITE POCKET is a geological formation located in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in northern Arizona, is characterized by its patterns of white and red Navajo sandstone, which have been sculpted over millions of years by the forces of wind and water erosion.

Grizzly bears are large and range in color from very light tan (almost white) to dark brown. They have a dished face, short, rounded ears, and a large shoulder hump. The hump is where a mass of muscles attach to the bear’s backbone and give the bear additional strength for digging. They have very long claws on their front feet that also give them extra ability to dig after food and to dig their dens.

Grizzly bears weigh upward of 700 pounds (315 kilograms). The males are heavier than the females and can weigh 200 to 300 kilograms (about 400 to 600 pounds). A large female can weigh 110 to 160 kilograms (about 250 to 350 pounds) in the lower-48 States.

Grizzly bears once roamed throughout the entire western United States south into Mexico, including the Great Plains and along rivers in desert habitats. Control actions and habitat loss extirpated them from 98 percent of their original habitat in the U.S., including the Great Plains and all habitats south of Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, including California, Idaho, and Washington. Populations persisted in the Northern Rocky Mountains including Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks and in northwestern Montana and extreme northern Idaho next to Canada. A large population of grizzly bears lives inland in Alaska and northern Canada.

Durante mi visita a Chalán, Sucre volví a las raices del fotoperiodismo y fotografía documental. Inicialmente quise hacer paisaje, avistamiento, astrofotografía, pero la madre naturaleza no ayudó, así que di la vuelta a la moneda y comencé a registrar con base al Que, como, cuando, donde (El pueblo, la gente, el espacio, las historias...)

Decidí entonces inspirarme por el terreno y por cada hecho en el camino, por la labor que estaba acompañando (Valoración de producto turístico) por lo que mi corazón sentía y por lo que físicamente podía realizar.

Turisticamente, la alta montaña y sus veredas sin duda son el atractivo. En Chalán, se encuentra una gran reserva de Bosque seco tropical hogar de mamiferos y aves medianas, además veredas como garrapata y limón poseen cuerpos naturales de agua naturales que no solo embellecen el paisaje sino que son recursos importante en la vegetación. Gracias a gestores de proyectos y recursoscomo se construye actualmente un parador de avistamiento y baños ecologicos para visitantes, sin embargo se necesita de mayor inversión y apoyo institucional y otros actores. Chalán asi como toda la region de loa montes de maría son una gema que necesita de más personas e integración. Son una fuente de Agroturismo, Aviturismo y Turismo Sostenible. O como decimos de "Experiencias"

Mi recorrido fue a Caballo, se realiza también en en caminata para los amantes del trekking. Un guia baquiano hará tu recorrido ameno con historias y minucias del territorio.

Yo Observé Guacamayas y otras aves, algunas solo las pude escuchar, también me topé TItis cabeza blanca y otros animales. Lastimosamente los pajaros estuvieron fuera del alcance de mi lente. Si eres fotógrafo de aves Chalán te puede encantar pero es un terreno complicado por lo que el peso del lente y el caminola hara de tu senderismo una actividad de alta intensidad.

And after 3 days of snowstorm in Menhaaga, trapped mostly all the time in my hotel, the sun came up again for saying me goodbye. This was my wow morning moment, already on my way back to Phoenix, i must do some quick stops, check some waterfalls and take some photos.

Photo Expedition, We're back again, while my team is giving it best in Colombia, I am here discovering new landscapes and travel photo spots. This journey began in March 2021 and so far it had been a great way to improve my photo skills and narrative. Hello, today I want to introduce myself and let you know a little more about this beautiful project and how we work.

My name is Paola H Sanchez and I am the founder of this company that combines academia, tourism and audiovisual language. Years ago I had the opportunity to explore my department (Bolivar, North of Colombia) in its many facets and places and I tell you, I fell in love with its greatness. I also was working in culture and development as a project coordinator, which allowed me to engage more with the community, understand their habits, life, desires and projects.

I have always been a traveler and have been in the audiovisual world since child. I grew up with a tv production company at home, so I am no stranger to a microphone or camera. My big professional dream is to make movies, but life has opened doors for me and in that search I found photography. It is worth mentioning that I have always been an advocate of freedom, which is the power to live in body, mind and soul without fear and restrictions that inhibit your personality or acting. For this reason, I did not feel so comfortable in hierarchical structures and I knew from very early on that my mission was to create companies and form teams. That's why I didn't hesitate when I decided to be independent. Laborally all my previous experience (you can check my LinkedIn) became an input for what today is my great Baby Photography Tours.

I am in love with Colombia, my country, its richness and culture. And I am aware of the great power that represents the audiovisual language. That's why I want you to join me in this project and become part of my family as a visual ambassador not only of Colombia but also of the world.

Which lens should I bring for my trip?

You've probably wondered more than once what equipment you're going to carry on your trip.

It is understandable, you will travel to remote places and will have doubts about the weather, currency, safety, overweight baggage and others but don't worry, we all go through that concern at some point.

The answer is simple, you should travel with the lens that best suits your photographic style and the one necessary for the type of photography you are going to do. Yes, just as you read it, take the one you like and that is suitable for your travel destination.

When you go to popular markets and work in documentary and street photography, the ideal lens is a 50 mm.

If you are going to do birdwatching, wales or photo saphari of course, bring a Tele Zoom or a Tele photo. Also you can pick a lens with a distance that at least exceeds 80mm.

If you are going to do landscape photography, don't heaitate and take a wide angle with you.

And as it usually happens if the destination where you are traveling has many photo opportunities in different styles, take a multipurpose lens that allows you a range of at least 18 mm to the distance of preference.

Travel with what you feel comfortable with but most importantly enjoy the process. And if you don't have all lenses, just work with what you have. "If heaven throws you lemons, prepare some cocktails"

Grand Canyon Natural Park.

The composition of this photograph is based on two principles: the well-known layers (elements behind others superimposed) and a diagonal line that marks the visual path giving the sensation of infinity.

The delicate white space at the top edge is the sky that protrudes a little at the height of the rocky landscape. We decided not to cut it to give an air of naturalness and expression to the shape of the mountains.

In post production we used secondary colors in cold tones. We wanted to give a vintage feel and show a space out of this world.

The Grand Canyon Park has different tones of greens, reds and oranges in the rocks. It is a feeling of colors marked by an intense terracotta base.

Dear followers, we are so excited in this Photo Expedition that can not resist in showing you some of our Photos.

This Long exposure landscape was taken by our logistic operator.

In our road to Seward, Alaska, we stopped by the Virgin Creek Waterfall. Did a short hiking, found a spot and started to shoot.

He used a dark filter, this is for compensate the amount of light coming through the lens while making long exposure shoots.

A good portrait photographer must get close to:

In such a competitive world, where thousands of photographers and audiovisual creators emerge every day, where almost nobody wants to be a doctor or an architect and where a large part of the young population aspires to be content creators and influencers, you ask yourself: How do I get them to listen to me, how do I get them to see me, how do i become creative? (Not to mention other questions in the process...).

Today we want to give you some suggestions that have undoubtedly helped us to grow as a company and train more than one photographer:

1.Get out of your comfort zone, experiment new things. Although in photography and video we have parameters and technical guidelines for creating images; it is also true not always a good photograph is the one that is best produced in a technical way. Don't be afraid to overexpose, underexpose, don't be afraid to play with your camera settings.

Take advices from colleagues, in photography there is always new knowledge and we all handle light in different ways. Ask, search and research.

3. Live the process, if photography is your hobby enjoy it, you have no pressure but your own. If you are a professional, also have fun in the process, even if you have a quality standard, a market and a field, work with the passion and adventurous spirit of a child. Everything Flows!

4. Find and look for spaces, be your own marketer, strengthen networking, sell yourself.

5. Cooperate, create alliances, share ideas, share knowledge. Our world is interconnected. Someone from another country needs you and vice versa.

6. Travel and Learn. Traveling can be physical or mental. Travel with books if you are on a budget or experience an area near your residence, experience being in another environment and observe.

7. Be prepared to listen. Take what you think is convenient, what you feel helps you to improve, there are people who bring valuable knowledge.

8. Take pictures, record videos and keep tracked your improvement.
