Wildtracks Update: Happy International Day of Forests!

Did you know that on February 13th the Government of Belize approved what will be one of the largest biological corridors in Central America?

Wildtracks, along with its conservation partners, has been working on the North East Biological Corridor for the last 20 years... and we are celebrating it's approval. The North East Biological Corridor connects the Shipstern / Fireburn forest to Freshwater Creek Forest Reserve to the south - 110 square kilometers of connected forest in northern Belize. The newly designated lands will include the site of our first endangered Yucatan black-handed spider monkey releases!

The Corridor contributes towards implementation of actions under Belize's National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, strengthening water security and biodiversity viability.
