See sea turtles nesting and hatching in Costa Rica 🐢🐢

A visit to Costa Rica between March and November coincides with turtle nesting and hatching season. Where thousands of sea turtles emerge from the ocean under the light of a full moon, and lay eggs on Costa Rica's beaches.

Sea turtle hatching season typically happens in August through November and is the best time to potentially witness turtle hatchlings emerge from their nest and scamper their way across the beach and into the ocean!

📍Chirripó National Park

Stunning sunset from Cerro Ena in Chirripó, one of the highest mountains in Costa Rica.

From the top of Cerro Ena, the views are breathtaking. From there, you can see the entire Talamanca Mountain range and the Pacific Ocean.

When the sky is clear:
• The sunset in Cerro Ena sets around 5:30 pm local time.
• The Sunset takes 45 minutes.
• The colors that typically appear in the sky are orange, red, yellow, and blue.

PARQUE NACIONAL RINCON DE LA VIEJA Este parque, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, es un macizo volcánico con 9 cráteres que se ubica entre la línea divisoria entre el Caribe y el Pacífico. Emanaciones de lodo hirviendo, agua en ebullición y vapores que resuenan en el ambiente. Usted puede ser testigo de toda esta actividad volcánica y, además, puede visitar un bosque seco, uno húmedo, uno muy húmedo y uno nuboso en tan solo dos horas. El Rincón de la Vieja cuenta con dos sectores, Las Pailas y Santa María, entre cuyas bellezas sobresalen las manifestaciones volcánicas, la visita a la catarata La Cangreja y las caminatas por los diferentes ambientes con impresionantes vistas al mar. RINCON DE LA VIEJA NATIONAL PARK This national park was declared a World Heritage by the UNESCO. It is a volcanic massif with 9 craters that is located between the dividing line between the Caribbean and the Pacific. Emanations of boiling mud, boiling water and vapors that resonate in the environment. You can witness all this volcanic activity and you can visit the dry forest and the cloud forest in two hours walk through the park. The Rincon de la Vieja has two sectors, Las Pailas and Santa María, where you can see natural beauties such as the volcanic manifestations, the visit to the La Cangreja waterfall and the walks through the different environments with stunning views of the sea.
