This is one of the most important days of the year in Costa Rica. The date is different from Mother's Day in other countries.
Traditionally, families come together on Mother’s Day for a special lunch that includes the entire extended family - as Mother's Day involves giving thanks to mothers, grandmothers and wives.

The Mantled Howler Monkey is a New World monkey and one of the largest Central American monkeys. They are aptly named “howler” because they make a very loud howling sound. Howler monkeys are very commonly found in many parts of Costa Rica especially near Sunset Ridge House Costa Rica!!
