Description

This tour is a must for all visitors in Costa Rica! Founded in 1972, the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve is among the most famous reserves in the world for its biodiversity, conservation, contributions, and scientific researches.

You will hike through the well-marked-trails, waterfalls, rivers, and the observation area of the park. If you are lucky you might spot a "Quetzal", one of the most beautiful birds in the world. It has an extension of 3,500 hectares, and was chosen in 2007 as one of the Seven Wonders of Costa Rica. The geographical, topographical, and climatic conditions of the Monteverde Reserve have conditioned the surprising biodiversity found there. In its forests are present four ecological "Life Zones", which give rise to different ecosystems inhabited by hundreds of species of mammals, birds, butterflies, amphibians, reptiles, insects, spiders, mosses, epiphytes, lianas, and other plants and trees typical of the Cloud Forest.

Miravalles volcano tour 🌋

The Miravalles Volcano is located in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste Province 🇨🇷

It is one of the largest volcanoes in the area, with Us you can walk inside a real active volcanic crater, horseback riding on the slopes of the volcano, hanging bridges and waterfalls to bathe.

Includes a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch and then we go to the secondary crater, walk inside the crater and enjoy natural hot springs, sauna and volcanic mud.

As interesting fact about Miravalles volcano is that the Costa Rican government’s electric institute (ICE) has several industrial plants here that turn the volcano’s underground heat into geothermal electricity.

You will likely see some of the steaming tubes as we drive around town. There are also many wind turbines nearby, helping to add to the country’s sustainability goals.

The tour begins with a horseback ride through the mountains and across the plains. As you ascend, you will be able to enjoy fantastic views of the Pacific coast of Guanacaste and the Rincon de la Vieja volcano. After this part, you will be prepared for your canopy tour.

Accompanied by professional guides, this tour will have you flying high, through the treetops and through canyons. There are ten cables and even at one point, you will cross a large and impressive waterfall. This is a great place to take photos or cool off in the crystal clear waters of the pool. Later, you can enjoy a delicious lunch at the Borinquen restaurant. Its carefully selected menu is drawn from both local and international traditions, which will satisfy your hunger and help you recharge after the canopy tour.

The final activity is undoubtedly the most relaxing you will end your trip, with a bath in the geothermal hot springs of Borinquen. Surrounded by the wild sights and sounds of Costa Rica, any tension that may have developed during the trip will easily fade while bathing in pools.
