How about a walk to the beaches inside the national park? We think these are some of the most beautiful and often uncrowded beaches in the world. The park is just a 1 mile walk downhill along the main road from our place, or catch a bus there for about 60 cents.

Playitas is another beach to walk to, only 1/2 mile. It means "little beach". This beach has two areas to enjoy, one for experienced surfers, and the other for body surfers, boogie boarders and swimmers. It is beautiful, and rarely crowded. Many of our beach photos are taken at this beach.

The link below offers some walking directions. Or ask for our walking guide and maps, or ask Alberto. Just one street over from our street, then down, and take the left fork to end up here. Walking back is uphill, or walk left along the beach to the park area and grab a taxi or bus back home.

What beaches are nearby? How to get there and how far?

This is probably the most common question we get from guests. There are several beaches within walking distance from our villa, 1/2 mile to this one, Playa Biesanz.. Although the distance is short, the walk involves some hills. We can provide a map or Alberto can show you how to get there.

This is a secluded uncrowded beach on a calm bay. It's perfect for families with younger kids who wish to avoid strong surf. In the high season months (Jan-March) there can be excellent snorkeling here, just offshore, or for those willing to swim out further, around a large rock formation.
