The 2024 ISA World Para Surfing Championship is a wrap and if you missed it live hopefully you were fortunate enough to catch it online.
Hosting for the second year in a row, Surf City USA a.k.a Huntington Beach served up dreamy conditions for the nearly 150 athletes from 25 nations.

Women will make up over one third of the total competitors at the ISA World Para Surfing Championships which kick off Sunday, November 3rd, in Huntington Beach, CA.

Gender equity is a key priority for the ISA.

The ISA Women's Para Surfing Workshop will be held Sunday at 9 a.m. at HB south side of the Pier. All registered women and coaches are encouraged to attend, to join in community, share resources, discuss barriers and the goal to promote Para Surfing to more women. .

Aussie surfer Sam Bloom is a two-time World Para Surfing Champion in the Women's Prone Division, winning the ISA World Championships in 2018, 2020 and the AASP Unassisted Prone final in 2023.

This year she has won her division at the first three of four stops on the AASP Tour. Most recently, she scored first-place honors in Boca Barranca at the High Fives Foundation Open Pro of Adaptive Surfing led and organized by the Association of Adaptive Surf Costa Rica.
