The weather has transitioned to the dry season. Daily highs in the low 90’s and once the sun sets it drops down to comfortable lows in the 70’s.

We have plenty of open dates in April and early May if warm weather is on your bucket list.

Whales in Costa Rica are prevalent for close to ten months a year.

This video was taken during our surface beak on our first diving adventure in the Pacific.

Costa Rica has the enviable distinction of more months with humpbacks in residence than anywhere else in the world.

Each group arrives in Costa Rica at the beginning of their respective winter and stays until spring comes to their home. Females who mated twelve months earlier give birth to a single calf who grows to at least 8 meters (26 feet) feeding on rich milk over the first year. The adults don’t feed and nursing females can loose up to a third of their body weight. The prevailing theories about why humpbacks migrate to the tropics are that the warmth allows the calves to grow more quickly, or that the waters are safer because of lower numbers of predators like orcas.

These White Headed Capuchin monkeys were some of the incredible sights we saw on our recent hike through the Carara National Park.

If you truly want to be one with nature you have to visit a rain forest at least once in your life.

Out on the ocean today we came across thousands of Manta Rays doing their amazing dance and aerial acrobatics.

So much sea life 20 minutes from our house; I am constantly in awe!
