Búho moteado con una rata en sus garras para alimentar a su pareja que está en el nido.

Mottled owl with a rat( just hunted) to share with his couple, which is in the nest.
At the nest, the last 4 years in a row, we have seen a couple of Mottled Owls over and over nesting there. However, we have not enough proofs to tell "this is the same couple"
Meanwhile, these beautiful birds are doing almost every night a show during the night tour.

Lora venenosa, una de las viboras más comunes de Monteverde, esta vibora es de actividad nocturna.
En el video se puede apreciar como su lengua bifurcafa colecta feromonas del ambiente y las procesa para saber donde podría pasar/estar su futura presa !!!

Side striped pitviper, one of the most common vipers in Monteverde area, this viper is active during the night.
In the video we can appreciate how the Viper with its forked tongue is collecting pheromones from the environment, this pheromones are processed for the viper to be able to know where the be its next meal

Que manera de limpiarse las "NALGAS"

Euphonia Elegantisima, alimentándose de "Mata palo" despues de alimentarte podemos observar como el aves al excretar libera muchísimas semillas, ésas semillas vienen con una "super pega/ super goma" que les permite mantenerse en las ramas de los árboles y de ahí nacen las nuevas plantas.

Elegant Euphonia feeding on Mistletoe, right after feeding/ digesting the bird defecates and spread many seeds, this seed are coming very sticky and that glue makes the Mistletoe seed got stock on the Branches of the tree.

Éste individuo es un Macho, podemos decir eso debido a que parace "una hoja mordida"

Leaf mimic katydid/ leaf insect we can find this insect and many colors( green, brown, green-brown-yellow ) it's amazing how similar is to leaf.
This individual is a male, we can say that because the leaf looks like a "bitten leaf"
