Stay overnight in the capital San Jose, then travel the next morning by private bus over the continental divide, and arrive in time for lunch in Canaán de Rivas, where you will spend your time in the mountains situated alongside the Chirripo River and National Park, with breathtaking views of mountain peaks and the San Isidro Valley. This will be followed by another scenic drive cross country towards the pacific coast, around the 'Golfo Dulce', and on to the Osa Peninsula at the most southern tip of Costa Rica, where the virgin rainforest and Corcovado National Park meets the Pacific Ocean, for the second part of your adventure. Depart from the 'Osa' totally rested, balanced and grounded after a week of intense relaxation, restoration and rejuvenation. Angus and I are getting really excited about our upcoming yoga retreat with Sonya Genel and Arasa starting this Saturday!
I will pick up 18 yogis in San José tomorrow and return with them to our mountain paradise on Sunday. This is our 3rd retreat with those two beautiful people from San Francisco.
The first part of the retreat will take place up here at Rio Chirripo, where we will celebrate New Years together in a cozy atmosphere. There is no better place than this most peaceful mountain yoga sanctuary.
On January the 4th we travel with the group down to the Osa Peninsula where we will stay at Finca Exotica, right at the door step of the Corcovado National Park!
Angus and I are really thrilled about staying in this extraordinary eco resort as it will be the first time that we host a yoga group in this incredible retreat center, right at the wild shore of carate beach in the most remote and untouched parts of Costa Rica.
I filmed during our last retreats with Sonny and Arasa and produced this little clip, just to give you an idea how our Chirriposa Retreats look like.

Dear Friends and Family!
Angus and I are getting exited to host this very special yoga retreat with Sonya Genel and Arasa Maram this New Year in Costa Rica. It will be our third retreat with this beautiful couple from San Francisco and is always a pleasure to work with them both, as they always create such a great vibe amongst their students and everyone describes the experience as magical and life changing.
The retreat will take place in the two most unspoilt and treasured locations of Costa Rica: The breathtaking Chirripo Mountains and the majestic Osa Peninsula.
Firstly, we will drive across the mountains and the continental divide, to stay in a beautiful mountain retreat lodge, at an elevation of 1500 meters (about 5000 feet), along the Chirripo River, with vistas of mountain peaks and virgin cloud-forest.
Then, we will travel together to the Osa Peninsula, where we will stay directly at the entrance to the Corcovado National Park, one of the oldest rain forests on the planet. The jungle lodge is nested amongst primary rainforest, only a stone’s throw away from the insanely beautiful Carate Beach, on the Pacific Ocean.
