The day before yesterday I was told that Spike had passed away.
When I returned to Praia in December I could no longer care for him. It all became too much for me at that moment and I didn’t think it was fair how he had spent the last few days. I eventually found a special place for Spike 🫶 in the interior with a good friend.

This dog was a friend to many, to all who stayed with us in our B&B in Lenfer and to ourselves of course.
Rest in peace dear Spike, we will never forget our moments. You are in our hearts 💛

Today I celebrate my entrepreneurship.
Five years ago I started my company in the Netherlands JUJU PRODUCTIONS and Terra Terra Tours was also started from there.
I’ve been through a lot in those years! And I made so many mistakes and learned a lot ☺️
In addition to my work in the Netherlands as a stylist, production management, photography, I gave Cabo Culture and Language lessons, organized Vintage Sales and I also set up my company in another country (Cape Verde). There was a pandemic in between, which I got through. I have always persevered and always believed that all the seeds planted in these special years will bear fruit 🌱

Today I celebrate this victory and want to give you a gift 💚

I started working on my first cookbook during the pandemic.
Jair and I got to know each other better during this period and taught each other what we knew and bundled it together in our first cookbook. And I’m going to launch it this month🎉
It will be for sale (online) and there is a waiting list for those who want it printed.
I haven’t found the right place to print it yet...
Hence the waiting list ☺️

Today is my dad’s birthday 🥳
A few weeks ago he visited this beautiful work of art by Kitsune Jolene with my mom...
I felt honored that they traveled there together to see this mural.
Thank you Mom and Dad for supporting me and yet seeing me follow my heart every time.

The sign with description states the following; Getting to know and appreciate each other and each other’s culture better: the only remedy against racism.

Judith, the woman portrayed who lives and works in Cabo Verde, connects people through and thanks to an authentic mix of hospitality, openness and friendliness (morabeza) of the Cape Verdeans.

In her own way, a changemaker, a world improver, a bridge builder, who makes international solidarity concrete.

Every time you will have to make choices in your life that you are sometimes not sure about, but you still know that you are following your feelings...
So I’m back in Cabo!
Yes really! I don’t quite believe it myself... Are you still following us 😅The past few weeks in the Netherlands have been so hard for me🥹

Full of courage and confidence, I flew back to the Netherlands just before Christmas, because I didn’t want to be in Cabo without Jair. I felt that I couldn’t let him go yet and that Hara missed him too much (and so did I).
But once back in the Netherlands, I still didn’t have our own place for us, so I first stayed with a friend who has 5 kids with Hara and Jair. But that didn’t work for me… I got tired.
I decided to go to my parents to recover for a while and then I will probably find a house soon! I really had a lot of good faith in it ✨ But I couldn’t keep it up there either, and neither could they with us. We have too different lifestyles and Gouda, the town where my parents lived, did not give me what I need now.

Full of new plans and approaches and oh yes, “I feel like I’m really alive again!”

Today was our second wedding anniversary and we have been through a lot in the short time we have known each other. We have learned a lot from each other, that's for sure and I thank you for that 🫶
Jair and I met in 2018, we fell in love in 2020, we got married in early 2022 and had our beautiful daughter “Hara” at the end of 2022. During these years we visit almost all the islands of CV together (it is only the island of Boa Vista that Jair has not visited yet). We stayed together in the Netherlands for the first time at the beginning of 2023 and moved to the Netherlands at the end of that year to to apply for residency for Jair and are here on a mission to shape the future of Terra Terra

A year that will bring a lot of change, transformation, a lot of love and we will reap the benefits of everything we have sown in recent years.
I am grateful to everyone who believes in us, has continued to follow us and has seen us in our process 💪🏾

We are reunited as a family for the second time in the Netherlands.
Terra Terra Tours will continue without our presence in Praia, but I am here (in 🇳🇱) to organize your trip and connect you with our people there 🇨🇻 🫶

new things and continue to welcome you warmly.

Less than 4 days ago I was in Cabo.
I decided to return home after 3 weeks in Cabo because I felt like I should be here now…
I traveled back from Praia via Sal and had a day to spend there with my good friend Noy. She asked me if I wanted to join her on a visit to Santa Cruz where she visits Joëlle and connects with tourists who would like to contribute to the less fortunate on the island.

It was a special day and today I thought back to them because Noy contributed to the people there with her foundation CSD-Foundation for Christmas. So they can celebrate it too.

I hope they enjoyed each other as much as I enjoyed celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with family and friends.
I am very grateful to everyone who has supported me to be with my family now. And to appreciate what is possible.
Merry Christmas to everyone, love, light and peace to everyone ✨

This photo was taken at the Reis family home in Ribeira da Prata during a Terra Terra tour with a group of artists from the Netherlands, Belgium and Cape Verde organized by

Pedro Reis lives with several of his children and grandchildren in the village of Ribeira da Prata on the island of Santiago.
Here he receives many visitors who pass by every day to enjoy a coconut, enjoy mangoes or eat a delicious freshly caught grilled fish.
That day we cooked a delicious one-pan dish on an open fire with his wife Fatinha, which we enjoyed with the group of artists.

In the Lokerse Kopkapelwijk the organization has 11.11.11. Lokeren presented its new street art project. Street artist with Lokeren roots Kitsune Jolene translated an image of mother Judith and her 10-month-old daughter Hara Oshun from Cape Verde into a colorful work of art in the Karrestraat.

This Sunday we are launching an intimate concert in our house for the first time.

Lourena is not only our friend who we get to know while we started with our Street Art tour four years ago in Txada Grande Frente. She was working at that time in the Atelier Deug Deug and made, among other things beautiful backpacks from jute.

She also takes care of everything that needs to be made in the B&B and is at this moment fixing our sofa bed with a new cover.
When we have customers she makes personalized clothes for them.
She is a mother of 2 beautiful children, she is a queen.
And even yesterday she helped me with Hara's stomach ache from stuck p**p that wouldn't come out. She gave her a massage and warmed her hands first with a candle. I learn from her every time 🫶
We thank you for this.
We love you!

I hope all is well with you 🫶

It's been pretty quiet in our stories lately and that wasn't just because of the bad internet connection we had here in Praia the past few days... It was also because a lot has happened on our island in the last few days. Our honor and respect goes to the families left behind.

Also we're going through a lot of things that I (Judith) find difficult to share.
I'm still in the process that it's ok to share when things aren't going right or the way you'd like.
I also know it's not nothing I've been through lately...

I will really try to take you with us on our journey as much as possible ✨
Because I know how much more it can give when we share our path and dreams of your own real life with all the obstacles that come with it…

We're back!

We are already 2 weeks back in Cabo. And now it really landed. We are really here now, grounded… we are home again.
I think for me the hardest thing this time… which I didn't expect.
I am now mom and Jair is dad to our beautiful daughter Hara, we are in a new phase in our lives 🫶
It's beautiful and feels very natural and Hara feels at home here too 💛
Besides that She was made here and participated in many Terra Terra Tours in the belly 😂

Last weekend we had our first tour again with a group of 16! That was special, a special group of very special souls.
Our Tours are usually with intimate smaller groups but this also felt very connected.
Thank you TAWIFEST crew for this first unforgettable tour of this year and many more to follow with the Terra Terra Familia ✨

Last month I returned to Cabo with the thoughts of restarting my life and work there and Jair would stay here in the Netherlands. Things turned out differently… I felt that it was not yet the time to be there with everything… I followed my feeling and had to make some important decisions. One of them was finding a spot for Spike, our dog. Finding someone to stay in our house. Stop B&B….with the Tours and Experiences in physical form.There were so many decisions actually that I’m still processing them and haven’t found the right solution for some of them yet.Everything step by step ☺️These days in December I walked Spike twice a day with Hara and with Juliata🧡 something that was normally a daily activity for Jair. 2 days Terra Terra Tour - Tarrafal

Last weekend we did a workshop "Barro" with these powerful women of Atras de Monte. This community of women https://www.facebook.com/Oleiras-de-tr%C3%A1s-de-munte-105519491727624 make their own ceramic from the from the beginning process, they get the clay themselves and they process it to the finished version to sell. In addition, they also provide lunch, which is of course served on their own arts. This day we attended a full workshop for the first time after all these years and learned to work with the clay into a product. In addition, we shared our knowledge of vegetarian dishes, something that all ladies are open to with all their conviction and love. It was a special Sunday afternoon and we hope to be able to organize many more together. We honor you, we thank you and we admire you for your great work and strength.
