Happy 6th Birthday, Technologos! As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on transformative initiatives like sGuide, iSafetyApp, Safe4Play, MindLand, Digi-Care, Data Shelter, Abacus, ECHO, EMHR, EcoGaming, Green-Wise, and SPROUT. Each project has significantly enhanced its field, from boosting digital literacy to fostering environmental stewardship. In the spirit of innovation, we’re also thrilled to preview our upcoming children’s illustration book, “Lift, Spin, and Twirl,” set for release in 2025. This picture book will inspire young minds with rhythmic verses, full-color illustrations, and includes dyslexia-friendly text. 🏛️ We had an incredible time attending "Museum Late: Game On" at the National Museum of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 last weekend! 🎮🎉 The event featured interactive discussions and insights into the evolution of video games, including sessions like “Here be Dragons: The Paradox of Horror Video Games” with Brian Gomez of 4J Studios.

👻 The evening was packed with thought-provoking conversations, live gaming experiences, and even a dive into the psychology behind horror games and what draws players to the thrill of fear!

🖥️ It was amazing to explore the connections between game culture and broader technological trends while engaging with experts and fellow enthusiasts.

This event was part of the larger "Game On" exhibition, running until November 2024, offering a comprehensive look at video game history and culture. Looking forward to applying the insights gained to our work and future projects!

Check out the progress in our newest project, which aims to empower young people to understand human rights. Its a collaboration between Sweden, Cyprus, Romania and Portugal, funded by Erasmus+ 🇪🇺

🌍 Empowering Minds with Web Extensions! 🧠✨

Over the past few months, we've been hard at work developing web interventions focused on human rights as part of the EMHR project. These tools are designed to educate and engage, and we’ve been collecting feedback from young people across Europe to test their effectiveness. Your insights are invaluable!

Here's what we've learned from YOU:
- 80% of respondents felt they would greatly benefit from our interactive web extensions.

- 75% of respondents found the interactive quizzes to be a fun way to learn about human rights, highlighting the power of gamified education.

- Most participants prefer fast-paced action games and mythical characters, while others enjoy a strategic or narrative approach to learning about human rights.

Your recommendations are helping us refine the experience. We’re working to enhance the quiz and narrative formats to make them even more engaging.

Together, we're making education on human rights more accessible and fun! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to improve our interactive tools and create new ways to empower communities across Europe. 🌍💡

Very happy to work on this project, with amazing partners from Sweden, Portugal and Romania. We will keep you posted on the progress and the new game we are developing!

In early September 2024, the European Court of Human Rights ruled against both Georgia and Azerbaijan for their involvement in the abduction and ill-treatment of an Azerbaijani journalist. This landmark case highlights the urgent need for greater protection of press freedom and stronger accountability for human rights violations across Europe.

Meanwhile, discussions at the Human Rights Council (HRC57) have brought critical issues into focus, such as systemic racism against Africans and people of African descent, and the intersection between the environment and human rights. These global conversations emphasize the ongoing fight for justice and equality in today’s world.

This serves as a powerful reminder of why initiatives like Empowering Minds for Human Rights (EMHR) are so essential. By amplifying the voices of those facing repression and empowering individuals through education, EMHR provides the tools necessary to address global challenges and promote a more equitable society.

Together, we can make a difference—one mind at a time.
