Chicago is always a great idea for a day off 🤍

Many students work for employers in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Michigan, making Chicago just a short trip away for a perfect day off.

Unlike the small towns where many students have jobs, Chicago offers a sprawling urban adventure. Start your day by exploring Millennium Park, strolling along the downtown canals, or taking a scenic walk by Lake Michigan. Ride the iconic public transport, snap a photo with Trump Tower, and marvel at the above-ground subway in the Loop district. Don’t miss the Crown Fountain with its captivating faces of city residents, and of course, Cloud Gate—familiarly known as “The Bean”— a must-see landmark in the city!

And that’s just the beginning!

Chicago boasts numerous rooftop terraces where you can savor a delicious steak while enjoying breathtaking city views 🌇 The city also attracts visitors for its thrilling hockey games and electrifying concerts.

Just a few tips from our Work and Travel USA participants:

1. Choose offers in cities where it is realistic to find a second job

2. Choose offers from employers who provide accommodation

3. If possible, travel for at least a week after the program, not just to “earn money” without getting unforgettable emotions from traveling in the U.S. - it is worth it 😉

4. If you have any difficulties - immediately write to your sponsor, instead of putting up with it all summer - you will definitely be helped to solve this issue. You are on the program primarily to have a cool experience and enjoy the process!

We begin a series of interviews with participants of Work and Travel USA 2023 program 🚀A couple of questions for Anna: ❓ Should you be afraid to go? 💁🏼‍♀️ You should not be afraid to go to the program, because Wyse Travel agency will help with collecting all the necessary documents in the right time, prepare a list of questions that may be asked at the embassy, and will always be in touch with the participants throughout the preparation for departure. ❓ Is it possible to recover the cost? 💁🏼‍♀️ Yes, it is possible to recover the cost of the program, as I have already traveled 3 times under the program and I always managed to earn enough money to travel and come back with money (despite the fact that I started working not in May, but later). #workandtravel #workandtravelusa #students #americansummer
