You will feel like in the fairy tale in Asinou church. It is tiny, and from the outside, you'd hardly know it was a church. If you don't know where to look for it, it's hard to find. From the outside it looks completely inconspicuous, but inside! It's beautiful in there! On all the interior walls of the church there are frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Jesus Christ and other saints. You just have to "glide" your eyes across the ceiling and walls. Even if you only know a few Bible stories, you will recognize them in the frescoes. Entrance is free, no photography is allowed. You can only take pictures outside.
Open Mon - Sat 09:00 - 16:00
Sundays and public holidays 11:00 - 16:00

In Cyprus, you may not even need any navigation. A simple paper map always took me where I needed to go. And if even a map doesn't help, you can always ask someone. You'll find plenty of smart advisors along the way. :)

This is good to know when ordering your gyros in Cyprus. They can put the pieces of meat in either Greek pita bread or Cypriot pita bread, depending on your preference. There is the Greek pita on the top and Cypriot pita lower. What's the main difference? Greek is smaller and softer, while Cypriot is bigger and harder. Well, everyone likes it differently, right? I prefer the Greek one. Which one is your favourite?

The archaeological site of Amathus is one of the most important and oldest ancient cities in Cyprus. It can be found on the southern coast of the island, not far from the modern city of Limassol. Its history dates back to the 11th century BC, making it one of the longest inhabited sites on the island.
Amathus was already an important city in Mycenaean times. It later became one of the royal cities of Cyprus, which meant that it was of great political and economic importance. The city was famous for its port, which served as an important trading hub between the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
This is the acropolis, just up the hill above the site. There's a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside and the sea. Remains of temples and public buildings have been found here.

The mysterious Berengaria Hotel is located in the Troodos Mountains. It used to be one of the most beautiful hotels in the mountains, but was closed in 1984 due to the debts of the owners. Many claim the hotel is enchanted. If you go here, be careful. They say the ghost of the former hotel manager still roams the hotel and sometimes haunts the place. Enter only at your own risk, officially it is not allowed to visit this place.

TRAVEL TIP
St. Lazaros Church
The most beautiful church in Larnaca. The Bible says that St. Lazarus befriended Jesus Christ. When Lazarus became seriously ill, Jesus wanted to help him but he came quite late, on the fourth day after Lazarus died. If you're wondering why it took Jesus so long to come to help his friend Lazarus, I'll tell you right now. Because he had a lot of other things to do. He was healing, turning water into wine, restoring sight to the blind, and he may have forgotten a little about poor Lazarus. He was also aware that the resurrection of Lazarus would bring him further fame and glory. Lazarus' resurrection thus became one of Jesus' significant acts, foreshadowing his own Resurrection and many other miracles.
Free admission
Free toilets behind the church.
You can take photos inside.

The luxury hotel Anassa is looking for volunteers from Europe who are willing to stay for 10 days for FREE in this hotel.
😎 They need to find out if it makes sense to run an advertising campaign for European clientele. In short, if European guests would enjoy it there. One night in this hotel costs almost 1000 euro. The hotel is right on the beach and it's the best hotel in Cyprus. I heard Madonna slept here and was thrilled.
😎 The trip to Cyprus is arranged by Cyprus Airways
The tickets are free. You will fly directly from your town or village on a Dassault Falcon 7X, which is a super luxury aircraft with a private flight attendant trained in gastronomy. They have promised to serve sirloin steak with bun dumplings and cranberries on board. For dessert, there will be Greek baklava with whipped cream.
😎 Everything, but everything will be FREE for you in Anassa
😎 I hope you don't mind strawberries and champagne for breakfast and that you are not allergic to large amounts of caviar! Because you're in for a Total All Inclusive like you've never experienced before! Top chefs from all over Cyprus will be cooking for you!
Does this sound great to you? Sign up for a trial!
😎 For those who don't want to pack their bags and travel to Cyprus by plane, there is the OPTION TO TELEPORT TO CYPRUS. It's a quick and elegant solution even for those who hate security checks at the airport. If you wish to TELEPORT, please write the word TELEPORT TO CYPRUS in the hotel's test registration form.
😎 Don't let your fears of getting fat get you back. The hotel guarantees that the resort operates a magical minus calorie diet that will ensure you return home with a better body than you arrived with. Even if you eat everything there.
😁If you've read this far, I'm so happy for you. If this April Fool's post made you laugh, I'm even happier! 🙂
P.S. Hotel Anassa really exists. A night for 2 people really costs almost 1000 euros. The beach there is exactly like you see in the photo. And it really is one of the nicest hotels in Cyprus.

Although we are already celebrating Easter in Europe and I wish you all the best, the Easter Bunny in Cyprus is still gathering strength and resting. Easter Sunday in Cyprus this year will not be until the 5th of May.
On Easter Monday, May 6, everything will be closed. And many shops will be closed on Tuesday too. The whole island will be slightly slowed down and we won't get back to normal until Wednesday 8/5. But no worries, everything will be more or less normal in the hotels and tourist areas. They'll let you eat, they'll let you go to the beach too and your hotel room will be clean 😎👍.

This is good to know when you're having Gyros in Cyprus. They can put meat pieces in either Greek pita bread or Cypriot pita bread, depending on your preference. Greek Independence Day is celebrated on 25 March and is an important public holiday not only in Greece but also in Cyprus. It commemorates the beginning of the War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821.
What does it mean for you? It's a public holiday, so the big shops will be closed. But in the tourist and hotel areas, everything will run normally.

It is common in Cypriot households to have more than one car. Dad has one, mum has one, the third is driven by the kids studying at university. Public transport is often unreliable or doesn't go where you need it to go. That's why it's best to have a rental car to get around the island. It will get you everywhere you need to go. And the freedom! Priceless! :) I'll be happy to arrange a car in Cyprus for you.
