Easy afternoon tour of the Old Town.

Charming, less-traveled alleyways filled with character and fewer people and great views!

Prague doesn't have to be a cheesy touristy circus....

‼️Important Update‼️
Visiting Prague Castle on June 10, 2025

If you are planning to visit Prague Castle on June 10, please arrive before 3 PM, as the Castle will be closed to the public for a drill simulating an attack. FROM 3PM - 9PM. DON´T PANIC; this is just a simulation. You may experience noise, shouting, and see numerous medical, military, and police teams present. The entire complex will be closed until approximately 9 PM on the same day. Additionally, a part of Hradčanské Square will also be closed.

Just 15 minutes walk from Prague Castle, the real local life starts! Look at us 😀🚋

Točna Dlabačov: a quirky outdoor beer garden with fair prices and tram access (without a ticket:)). Here, you’ll find the iconic Czech T3 tram parked, which serves as a fun alternative when the weather isn’t ideal or if you just want to enjoy some unusual drink setup. Did you know this tram model holds the title of the most produced tram globally?

Come meet this legend from the Guinness Book of Records!

After today's tour, a little treat in liquid form with a thick foam.

Kuchyň primarily serves as a restaurant, but there's also a nice hidden garden nestled below the terrace, where you can relax and soak in the stunning views of the city.

Today, I had the garden all to myself, making it an additional treat! 😄

Honey from Prague Strahov Monastery (founded in 1143). If you want to bring back home something original - no dust catcher - this is my tip. The price is approximately 150 CZK (€6).

After visiting the monastery (library, gallery, cloisters, refectories, and all the Romanesque halls), also stop by the abbey gift shop for this edible souvenir with Made in the Czech Republic label.

The photos are from my recent visit last week and this is not a paid cooperation:)) I paid for the entry and for the honey as well!:-) And went there in my free time, ha!

8:30 AM in Wallenstein garden & peacocks showing off 🦚👑 👌

There are several peacocks living freely in this garden 🙂 Mornings are the ideal time to visit, as the atmosphere remains calm and peaceful without the usual crowds. I arrived a little early for my clients today, so I took some time to enjoy the serene surroundings.

Is Prague really that busy? Absolutely! However, there's a clever strategy known as "right timing." Here's how it works:

📍 Old Town Square / Astronomical Clock: Always go in the early morning.

📍 Prague Castle: Completely empty at night and early in the morning (open from 6am to 10pm).

📍 Charles Bridge: It’s breathtaking in the morning, with no crowds and no noise!

You will experience absolutely different atmosphere with the right planning. And you will also reduce the local overtourism.

Thank you.

🎬This is not a theatre, this is our oldest operational cinema📽 Lucerna (large hall), which first opened its doors in 1909.

It features a modern sound system and showcases current films, all at a price that's much more affordable than contemporary multiplexes (only around 170 CZK / 7 euros).

If you find yourself with a free evening in Prague, indulge in an authentic local experience 💙

This is not a paid partnership with hotels. This is simply a straightforward blog post written by me. Hope you find it helpful 🤩

Here are my tips for:

🛎 Where to stay in the historical city center.
🛎 All hotel suggestions are based on previous recommendations from my clients who were satisfied there.
🛎 Which areas to avoid.
🛎 My reasons for not recommending Airbnbs.

I consistently strive to incorporate lesser-known locations, shortcuts, and hidden treasures into my tours. Here are some of my favorites, which I believe even locals may not be aware of.

Uncovering hidden gems and the intricate details of the city is my speciality. You can also read about them in my blogs.
