While writing this caption after spending time to post those photos in a better format, I had this thought:

I feel so satisfied to have this kind of energy from people during the hikes and day trips.

This first weekend trip to Saxony was the first one organized entirely by me, covering the whole weekend with the group on 2 different hiking routes.

It was a challenging preparation, with some moments off, but in the end, all the effort to organize was worth it.

That feeling at the end of the day of having good connections with people and nature, both on the same level, is indescribable.

I hope this is a sign that the next weekend trips will be unforgettable too!

Just over 100 km from Berlin lies the Unesco Biosphere Reserve, one of the most beautiful forest areas in Germany, criss-crossed by a multitude of canals of the River Spree, dotted with locks and enchanting landscapes, in an irrigation system called “Fließe” and stretching for 1300 km over the 484 km/2 of the reserve’s surface area.

The canals we will navigate are calm and shallow, easy to navigate, suitable for cabin boys and experienced sea lions, or river wolves.

We will learn how the locks work from the inside, as the “Fließe” are located at various heights and we will cross several of them along the way.

Our day at Harz Mountain ⛰️ was absolutely amazing!

Sunny weather, great vibes, and an easy hike made it a fantastic experience.

It’s excellent preparation for longer hikes in this incredible location!

After the hike, we took some time to explore the town of Quedlinburg, a stunning medieval town often called as the cradle of Germany!
