We aren't family with the whole list of extensive traditions, but one of the things that we do is, if you come visit us and stay in our guestroom, we will take you to breakfast on top of the Reichstag.

Our niece, Ella, Fresh off an internship at the Ministry of Finance in Prague, got the full experience this year.

Jen and I usually have breakfast up there on the 27th of August anyway, to celebrate the anniversary of her first passport stamp.

It was 28 years ago that we moved from Portland to Germany, and what an adventure it has been.
