It is from here that we have established a solid position in the global market with our high-quality, modern product labeling devices and systems. Our customers appreciate the many years of experience that have gone into our devices: since 1975 they put their trust in the top quality “Made in Germany”.

Another reason why they always come back to our products is that we are the leaders when it comes to innovation, a position we are not going to give up. Global representation Just like many of our customers, we are based in Germany, but act global. Seven international offices and 350 competent distribution partners ensure in more than 80 countries around the world that cab is wherever its customers are.


- New designs and materials

Karlsruhe is also home to our “think tank“, our development department. This is where our devices that are to be used in the industry, by service providers and in business take shape. Experiences gained from the daily use of the devices are combined with new, unprecedented ideas, proven materials are replaced by even more robust, more environmentally friendly materials and traditional designs are upgraded with new design lines. Our new line of devices uses new, extremely durable plastic materials. They are characterized by high impact strength and scratch resistance as well as a high surface hardness, and also reduce the weight of the devices. Its surfaces are also easy to clean and maintain. The material mixture is reduced to a minimum during the recycling process. Complete new designs become possible, giving the devices a very distinctive look.


- We are an independent manufacturer

Quality is our top priority, which is why we outsource our parts production as little as possible. We produce most of the device mechanisms in our own production plant in Sömmerda. We are accredited to ISO 9001 and are constantly expanding our leading technology position. The environment and energy efficiency are also very important to us. For 11 years now our entire product range is awarded with the Energy Starseal. In addition to the positive Our production plant in Sömmerda manufactures most of the parts for our devices. During the assembly process, highest precision and consistent quality are of great importance to us. effects on the electricity costs the reduced standby-mode saves - totalized for the entire product range - one tonne CO2 per day.

cab is Europe’s leading manufacturer of devices and systems labeling on components, products and packaging. Healthy global growth, both technical and functional lead and competent customer support are prior goals of the company. There are 400 employees in Germany and in seven subsidiaries abroad as well as 820 distribution partners in more than 80 countries to meet the targets.

Products need labeling In the automotive sector, labeling ensures that components to the smallest screw are traceable. In logistics, labeling guarantees scheduled delivery. On electrical devices, typeplates refer to performance data and use. The pharmaceutical industry sees labeling prevent from errors relevant to health. In chemistry, labeling points out to risks associated with the handling of the products – multi-colored and without any barriers as regards language. On food, labeling informs about ingredients and on textiles about its best possible care.

Made in Germany cab since more than 40 years develops and manufactures solutions for product marking and a large amount of accessories for any demand. The product range includes label printers, print and apply systems, label dispensers and marking laser systems. In addition, cab provides labels and thermal transfer ribbons for the perfect imprint. Components as well as means of laboratory, testing and production are still offered.
