Hilton Honors and the Hilton Hotels have launched their next promotion a couple of days ago on September 08, 2020.

You earn double base rewards points on all stays till December 31, 2020 (check-out day). You also get also double elite nights on all nights till December 31 (check out January 01, 2021).

What is important, is is double elite nights, not double elite stays. But those nights count towards milestone bonuses and also for lifetime status. Marriott is running a promotion for stays in Asia and Australia. You get 5000 bonus points and a daily food&beverage credit of 15% of your room rate.
In luxus hotels (e.g. EDITION, St. Regis, Ritz Carlton) you can also chose among two other benefits.
The downside is, that the promotion rates does not apply for the standard room category and sometimes only for suites and / or club level rooms.
Nevertheless, the bonus points might be worth the surcharge.

If you do not have an elite membership in a frequent flyer program but want or need a lounge, a lounge membership might come handy.

The Port Authority New York New Jersey (PANYNJ) approved money for a rail connection to the New York Subway MTA LIne #7 at Willtets-Points Station.

Nevertheless - it might be good to have a means of transportation which is not affected by traffic jam like the bus.

Marriott Bonvoy announced the next Promotion. It will run between October 29, 2019 and January 14, 2020.

You earn 2000 points after the first two stays. After three days you will be notified what you will for the remaining time till January 14, 2020.

There are some potential problems, espcially if your first or second stay is not credited automatically. If the time between the second stay and the announcement of the next level is covered by the next level or not.

Polish flag carrier LOT is launching flights between Warsaw (WAW) and San Francisco (SFO) from August 05, 2020.

The route is served by Boeing 787 four times a week. The flight leaves Warsaw on Monday and Friday at 11:25 am and San Francisco at 16:26 (04:26 pm). On Wednesday and Saturday the flight leaves Warsaw at 17:20 (05:20 pm) and San Francisco at 22:10 (10:20 pm)

LATAM announced that it will leave the oneworld alliance according to a statement on https://www.oneworld.com/news/2019-09-26-oneworld-statement-on-LATAM

At the same time, Delta Airlines announced to aquire a stake of 20% at the airline from South America. Is is not yet clear, if Latam will become a member of the Skyteam Alliance or 'only' leaves oneworld.

It does mean, that in the near future, you will no longer be able to earn avios, miles, tier points for flights on Latam on any of the oneworld airlines frequent flyer programms including the flight between Frankfurt and Madrid.
