🎉 Today marks exactly 12 months since we achieved a historic milestone at the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Madrid. From July 21 to 23, 2023, the world witnessed a game-changing moment as the tournament transitioned from traditional parquet flooring to the revolutionary ASB GlassFloor. This marked the first time in basketball history that a FIBA Competition Level 1 event was played on a glass surface.
The ASB GlassFloor, with our innovative operating software GlassCourt OS, introduced a new dimension to sports presentation, merging high-tech visuals with unparalleled playability. This milestone not only delighted players, fans, and FIBA officials but also set the stage for a new era in sports technology.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with players loving the new floor. FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis and FIBA Europe President Jorge Garbajosa acknowledged the profound impact this change could have on the sport. 🏀 NBA All-Star 2024: Our digital glass floor made its debut at this premier event in Indianapolis, featuring a full video court that captivated 35,000 spectators during the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and State Farm® All-Star Saturday Night.
🏆 Basketball Champions League Final Four 2024: Held in Belgrade, this was the first time the Final Four was played on the ASB GlassFloor. The floor's interactive features and enhanced playability received high praise from athletes and officials alike.

Yesterday, history was made as the first ever @nba event was being held on a glass floor. At the Ruffles All-Star Celebrity Game🏀, serving more than just a playing surface, the ASB GlassFloor became another A-player in the game, dazzling both players and spectators alike🤩.
The event offered an innovative blend of entertainment and sportsmanship, highlighted by the fiery animations🔥 and the introduction of thrill-inducing game elements underlined by our digital court.
In the end, Micah Parsons‘ outstanding performance secured victory for Team Shannon, showcasing the seamless combination of technology and determination in modern entertainment😎.

Computergame meets physical movement
This Friday, the Bundesliga kicks off its new season. We still have fond memories of when we kicked off the season with FC Bayern München almost exactly two years ago in the Allianz Arena as part of the Audi Cup 2019. On an area of 84 square metres, we coupled the idea of a computer game with physical movement. For the first time, two previously completely different worlds merged. Children in particular were encouraged to move in a playful way and had a huge amount of fun!
Diesen Freitag startet die Fußball-Bundesliga in ihre neue Saison. Wir erinnern uns noch gerne zurück als wir mit dem FC Bayern München vor fast genau zwei Jahren in der Allianz Arena im Rahmen des Audi Cups 2019 die damalige Saison einläuteten. Auf einer Fläche von 84 qm haben wir die Idee eines Computerspiels mit physikalischer Bewegung gekoppelt. Erstmals verschmolzen so zwei bis dato komplett unterschiedliche Welten. Insbesondere Kinder wurden so spielerisch zur Bewegung animiert und hatten jede Menge Spaß.

Dominik Klein testet Live-Tracking auf dem ASB Lumiflex
Dominik Klein becomes part of a computer game - during this year's AudiCup in Munich, the Handball World Champion from 2007 and ARD Expert tries out the most advanced sports flooring system in the world, where ASB LumiFlex shows its possibilities such as live tracking in form of a game. The glass floor, equipped with millions of LEDs, offers entirely new possibilities in display and marketing for indoor sports!
Dominik Klein ist Teil eines Computerspiels. Im Rahmen des Audi-Cups in der Allianz Arena in München testet der Handball-Weltmeister von 2007 und ARD-Experte den modernsten Sportboden der Welt. In Form eines Spiels zeigt der „ASB Lumiflex“ seine Möglichkeiten wie z.B. Live-Tracking. Der Glasboden, unterlegt mit Millionen LEDs, bietet dem Hallensport in Zukunft völlig neue Möglichkeiten der Darstellung und Vermarktung.
Châlons-en-Champagne Game Lines
This 459m² ASB MultiSports installation located in Châlons-en-Champagne offers a total of 5 different sports: badminton, basketball, futsal, volleyball and archery. This was the first-time geometric shapes were included in any #MultiSports installation. 🇫🇷
MultiSports allows the user to individually switch on/off the array of LED game lines hidden beneath the glass; resulting in only the desired game lines being visible on the surface… And once all the lines are turned off, the unique surface can be used – without protection – for events such as expos, dancing, gatherings, concerts etc.
Any line, any time.

LumiFlex in Joko & Klaas
A look in to the recent filming of the new TV series – Joko und Klaas against ProSieben – where our #LumiFlex floor was put into action.
The content designed for our floor was eye-catching to say the least… For each minigame, different animated content was designed to set the scene and to enhance the appearance of that specific game. Things such as targets, starting lines, lyrics and other game related content were displayed underfoot; which is the prime location to be enjoyed by the audience in the studio as well at home. 📽️
