🐘 Say NO to Elephant Tourism Exploitation 🌍
🚫 Avoid activities like riding, bathing, or touching elephants.
🚫 Skip any elephant experiences that involve unnatural behaviours such as tricks and shows.
🚫 Don't visit attractions that use abusive training methods such as chains, bullhooks, or “the crush”.
🚫 Don’t support facilities with poor living conditions such as concrete-only floors, solitary confinement, and day chains.
Why?
👉 Visiting such attractions increases the demand for captive elephants that may be caught in the wild 🐾
👉 Forced human interaction is stressful and unnatural for elephants and distrupts their social structure 🧠
👉 Elephants must be psychologically “broken" to interact with tourists, using cruel training methods 💔
👉 Activities like touching, riding, and bathing can cause skin damage, disease, chronic pain, and injuries 🩹
‼️World Unite! does not offer any volunteering placements with elephants in captivity, as it fuels the cruel elephant trade.
💚🐾Be a responsible traveler and protect these majestic creatures!

The music genre fuses Arabic, African, Indian, and Western influences, creating a rich, soulful sound that has defined the Swahili coast for generations 🌍 The word "taarab" means "to be moved or enchanted" in Arabic, which is exactly what this music aims to do—captivate its listeners with poetic lyrics and rhythmic melodies ️.

🌊🐢Turtle Hatchling Release on 14th and 16th September 2025
This weekend, we released the last nest from the hatchery. The first half of the nest hatched on Saturday night, and the second half on Monday afternoon. Turtles should be released immediately after hatching to ensure their best chance of survival. In the wild, hatchlings instinctively head toward the ocean as soon as they emerge from their nests. This critical journey helps them avoid predators and strengthens their muscles for swimming. Delaying their release can increase the risk of predation and disrupt their natural imprinting process, which is vital for guiding them back to their birthplace when they reach maturity.
Immediate release into the ocean helps preserve their natural behavior and supports the long-term health of sea turtle populations. Through the Matemwe program and our partnership with Under the Wave and their turtle nesting center, we are actively contributing to the growth of the turtle population.
