Arts & Culture Retreat Summer Journey DOCUMENTING a journey through Siberia, to the energy-points, meeting Shamans and Healers, different There we shall create and film a thematic performance.

We are the artist-group ARTS®, mainly musicians, dancers and actors, going on a search and discovery, for new sources of inspiration. Our journey goes to the South Siberian towns, Khakassia and Tyva, to explore the incredible nature, visit the places of power, and meet the local shamans and healers. One of our main artistic goals, is to feel the energy of the places of power, and express it throug

h improvisational performance. We shall create and film, with both group and solo performances (and from the whole, final finished material recorded, we also intend to create a "Final Performance", as a resulting performance Of The Whole Trip itself). We will also have some prepared material, which we plan to perform and film in the southern Siberia steppes, mountains, caves, taiga and desert. We go from Moscow to Khakassia by train, approximately 5 days with stops and eventual overnights. -filming us and whatever comes into our view and draws our interests on the whole journey. In Khakassia we will stay for approximately 10 days, visiting the sites described in the attachment, “Khakassia Sites”, with a local autodidact archaeologist, who shall present us concisely and clearly with the academic view, the traditional view, including his own version of the origin and the meaning of the mysterious Khakassian mangers, stelae, petroglyphs, caves and further things. And, of course, the famous “Sunduki (The Trunks)” – a chain of buttes which look as if made by human. One was used as the most ancient open-air observatory in the world. Another has a so-called “Shaman’s Chair” – a niche in the mountain overlooking forever… You need to brace yourself to get there but it is certainly worth it.

2-3 days will be spent at Shushenskoye – the village of Lenin’s exile where Russian Revolution was conceived. After that we’ll trek for 2-3 days in the Ergaki mountains (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ha1M-JndVE)

In Tyva we’ll have a comparable program on nature and the shamanic places, plus we’ll take part in the celebration of the National Day of Tyva and thus collect very valuable and colorful ethnographic material. Then we have a reserve of 5 days which we most probably will spend in Khakassia again, since we shall only be able to scratch a surface of its natural wealth in the original 10 days. Finally it’s back to Moscow, and immediately from the airport to the art-residence “GUSLITSA” (80 km from Moscow), where we’ll stage and perform our final multigenre performance. Tyva is rather inaccessible for foreigners or even sometimes Russians, so it is very lucky for us to be invited by the Tyvinian Ministry of Culture. That will ensure that we shall be able to be productive AND enjoy ourselves. In Khakassia we are invited by the Tourism Center of Khakassia and eventually by further partners. We have very strong partnership with Khakassia, and the people of the region are generally friendly, helpful and welcoming. We shall have both very good time there and most incredible opportunities for art- and filmmaking. What we plan as the final product is:
A nature documentaryA complete recording of each performanceVideo clips of some performancesA multigenre performance, possibly with video art.

Our Story

A NEW & UNIQUE JOURNEY for your changing/expanding awareness, going to the southern Siberia steppes, mountains, caves, taiga and desert; to the South Siberian towns, Khakassiya and Tyva, to discover and explore the incredible nature and it’s ancient places of power, energy points, healing lakes, and meeting the local Shamans and Healers. You have the possibility to travel from Moscow to Khakassia, either by plane, or more adventurously by train, approximately 5 days, with the options of extending the journey by making stops and perhaps even overnights. We highly encourage you to check out our website https://www.creativereality.life We have a local autodidact archaeologist, to present us concisely and clearly with the academic views, the traditional views, including his own version of the origin and the meaning of the mysterious Khakassian mangers, stelae, petroglyphs, caves and further things, and, of course, the famous “Sunduki (The Trunks)” – a chain of buttes which appears as if man-made. One of which, was used as the most ancient open-air observatory in the world. Another has a so-called “Shaman’s Chair” – a niche in the mountain overlooking forever… You need to brace yourself to get there, but it is certainly well worth it. Not too far away from our locations is Shushenskoye – the village of Lenin’s exile, where Russian Revolution was conceived. Trekking in the Ergaki mountains is as well one of our options (Ergaki mountains https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ha1M-JndVE) Tyva is rather inaccessible for foreigners, and sometimes even for Russians, while we have been invited by the Tyvinian Ministry of Culture itself. In Khakassia we are invited by the Tourism Center of Khakassia and further partners.
