Our Berlin Wall Ride is entering the second half:
We start at Wannsee, where we ended our last ride. But we do not start cycling just yet. First we need to take the ferry to get to the other side of the river Havel in Kladow. From here we ride towards Groß Glienicker Lake where the border passed right through the middle and continue towards Fort Hahneberg, a former fortress protecting Spandau and the small town of Staaken.
Through the Spandau Forest we reach former West Berlin Exclaves: Eiskeller, FIchtewiese and Erlengrund. Back on the banks of the Havel River we continue further north passing the former water border Hennigsdorf, before reaching S-Bahnhof Hennigsdorf, where we end our third Berlin Wall Ride and take the S-Bahn back to Friedrichstraße.
Save the date: 06.10.2018
We will start at 10 clock, so that those who want to rent a bike can do this at the Fahrradstation (Dorotheenstraße 30, 10117 Berlin) and meet with the rest of the group at 11 clock at our starting point S-Bahn station Wannsee.
If you are interested to join, please register (via mail, facebook, line or wechat). And please be on time! We hope that more and more cyclists will join our trips and that we can become a fun, living community...
