我們將為您展現一個不同角度的歐洲!

We are a team of travel-enthusiasts with one major thing in common: each of us discovered (or rediscovered at some point) that cycling is just the best way to experience other countries and other cultures. And Europe is especially suited to be traveled by bike:

There are lots of paths and routes built solely for bicycles, where you can enjoy the scenery without a car in sight. It has a rich and complex history as well as its geographical diversity, which ensures that there is always something interesting to see.

Our Berlin Wall Ride is entering the second half:

We start at Wannsee, where we ended our last ride. But we do not start cycling just yet. First we need to take the ferry to get to the other side of the river Havel in Kladow. From here we ride towards Groß Glienicker Lake where the border passed right through the middle and continue towards Fort Hahneberg, a former fortress protecting Spandau and the small town of Staaken.

Through the Spandau Forest we reach former West Berlin Exclaves: Eiskeller, FIchtewiese and Erlengrund. Back on the banks of the Havel River we continue further north passing the former water border Hennigsdorf, before reaching S-Bahnhof Hennigsdorf, where we end our third Berlin Wall Ride and take the S-Bahn back to Friedrichstraße.

Save the date: 06.10.2018
We will start at 10 clock, so that those who want to rent a bike can do this at the Fahrradstation (Dorotheenstraße 30, 10117 Berlin) and meet with the rest of the group at 11 clock at our starting point S-Bahn station Wannsee.

If you are interested to join, please register (via mail, facebook, line or wechat). And please be on time! We hope that more and more cyclists will join our trips and that we can become a fun, living community...

Thank you to everyone joining in on our 2nd Berlin Wall Ride!

Riding along the beautiful waterways of southwest Berlin, it’s easy to forget that this was of the most heavily guarded boarders in the world…

We stopped by the Otto Lilienthal Memorial on top of the hill where he used to make his test flights. Afterwards we followed the former wall to the biggest border crossing point: Dreilinden-Drewitz. This was the main gate in and out of Berlin for those travelling by car between West-Germany and West-Berlin. Although a small child at the time, I still remember the long waits of the passport controls.

Next up we rode around Wannsee Island and past the Glienicke Brücke, also known as “Bridge of Spies” and marveled at the many Palaces that were built into the scenery. Peacock Island is also worth a visit, but maybe for another time. And unfortunately but understandably bikes are not allowed on the island.

We ended our tour at Wannsee train station, from where we hope to pick up our next stage of the Berlin Wall Ride along the western border of West-Berlin. See you on the next ride!!

Together with around 18.000 fellow cyclists we have successfully completed the 60 km circuit with completely closed roads around Hamburg.

It was an unforgettable experience running in and out of slipstreams and finally rolling into the finish line in Hamburg’s city center at Mönckebergstr., testing out the racetrack before the official UCI Race (Congratulations to Elia Viviani!)

Hopefully we will meet again next year!

Our second stage of the Berlin Wall Cyclepath continue where we left off last time at S-Bahnhof Lichtenrade. From here we follow the former border strip and pass the Otto Lilienthal monument, Japanese cherry street and meet the beautiful Teltow canal. The bike path leads us on forest roads through the Wannsee forest and Griebnitzsee before we arrive at the gates of Potsdam in Glienicke. Here we make a big round around the Düppeler forest with view over the Havel to Sacrow and the peacock island. We'll also make a lunch-stopp. Our destination for the day is S-Bahnhof Wannsee from where we can take the train back to the city center.

Save the date: 01.09.2018
This time we will start a little later, so that those who want to rent a bike can do this at 10 clock at the Fahrradstation (Dorotheenstraße 30, 10117 Berlin) and meet with the rest of the group at 11 clock at our starting point S-Bahn station Lichtenrade.

Berlin Wall Ride No.1

First of all thank you to everyone who came along on our Berlin Wall Cycle Route!!

It’s hard to imagine that not even 30 years ago this was a deathstrip with b***y traps, barbwires, mines, guard dogs, and the likes. Berlin did a really great job on turning it into a serene green strip of land, which still marks what used to divide west Berlin from its surrourding.

Signs to commemorate those that unsuccesfully tried to flee the totalitarian regime of the former German Democratic Republic, remnants like old guard towers and old pieces of the wall reminded us that this is no ordinary bike route along former West Berlin’s border.

We started our tour at Brandenburg Gate, THE symbol for the division of East and West Berlin and worked our way through Checkpoint Charlie, before continuing further south to the outskirts of Berlin in Treptow.

The smaller trees that grew here in the past 29 years didn’t provide much shelter from the hot sun. But it was a nice and interesting ride none the less.

We hope to continue and complete this 160 km long cycle route, which is packed with history, interesting places and beautiful nature.

See you on the next Ride!

Our first stage of the Berlin Wall Cycle Path will lead us from Mitte/Friedrichstraße to the southern suburb of Lichtenrade. We will cycle for about 45km, through parks and along beautiful canals (Luisenstädtischer Kanal, Landwehrkanal und Teltowkanal). There will be Cold War history along the way, like stretches of the Wall and old border crossings, as well as important monuments like Schönefeld Airport and Bauhaus-influenced Gropiusstadt. We'll also make a lunch-stopp.

We will meet Saturday, July 28, 10 a.m., at Fahrradstation/Dorotheenstraße 30, 10117 Berlin. Here you can rent a bike if you don't have one. Our end-point will be S Lichtenrade, from where you can take the direct S-Bahn to Friedrichstraße again.

If you are interested to join, please register (via mail, facebook, line or wechat). And please be on time! We hope that more and more cyclists will join our trips and that we can become a fun, living community...join us and come with us, this will be good!

Thank you to everyone who joined in our ride around the Müggelsee!!

We’ve taken the longer loop, past Germany’s smallest town with a tram, charming New Venice and took a much needed lunch break at Rübezahl Biergarten.

Especially the latter half of the tour had smooth bikeways through lush green forests with nice views over Berlin biggest lake.

Dear Friends & all Cycling Enthusiasts!

The Hamburg "Cyclassics" dates are fixed!

--- August 19th 2018 ---

Save the date!

Next year we want to invite you to join us in participating in the infamous closed roads cycling event: "Cyclassics" in Hamburg.
You'll have the chance to meet other cyclists from around the world.

Choose between a longer warm-up, where we will ride together from the German capital, Berlin to Hamburg with some sightseeing along the way. Or just join on the last warm-up on the last day before the race.
After the Highlight of racing on completely closed-off roads in Germany's second biggest city, we will then cheer on the ensuing UCI racers, before checking out everything the expo at the event has to offer.

Come join us for a lifetime experience!
