Have you explored Rostock, Germany? Our guests this season have been raving about our Warnemunde and Rostock: Germany’s Hidden Gems Tour with lunch. Our local guide Andreas always takes amazing care of our guests.

Warnemünde is a quaint seaside town near the harbor entrance to Rostock, one of the city-states of the medieval Hanseatic League. Once a fishing village, it has now become a Northern European destination for travelers and locals alike. On this walking tour, you will begin at the pier and proceed down the beach promenade, visit the fish market and get great views of the historic gabled houses and the Old Stream boulevard.

"Christmas tree", but a New Year tree?🤔

This week the celebrated its birthday :)🥳🥳🥳
One of the world's largest art/culture/history museum was built in 1764 for Catherine II. The museum was opened for public visit in 1852. Today the exhibitions occupy five buildings along the Neva Embankment ⭐

Rumour has it, that the director of Hermitage, Mikhail Piotrovsky said the following: the tone of the facades of the Winter Palace may become more pastel in the future!!
At the same time, the main green colour will be preserved. 🏛

From last week on (from Nov 16) until April 15, St. Petersburgers are prohibited to go on ice. ❄️❄️❄️

Exceptions: - the Gulf of Finland, as well as lakes, quarry ponds and reservoirs of St. Petersburg.
It is allowed to go the icy surface of the above mentioned during the freezing period from January 16 to March 14, 2022. ⛸

On this day, 66 years ago (November 15, 1955), regular train traffic started between the stations "Avtovo" and "Vosstaniya Square".😍 🚉🚉

Hermitage vs. Catherine's Palace

Two blue palaces, both decorated mostly with rich gold, one is located in the heart of #StPetersburg, the other one is not so far, in Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin). :) #TheWinterPalace gives home to one of the biggest art collection in the world (the #HermitageMuseum), whilest the #CatherinesPalace has the world-famous #AmberRoom and other beautiful halls...
