Regulars' Table May 2023

Our JUNO Office offers you the chance to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere and to get-to-know other national and international researchers from HHU. We organize a JUNO regulars' table that is held in English.

During each regulars' table, we will discuss different cultures, languages ​​and our own international experiences. You also have the opportunity to talk about other interests and learn new things from each other.

Empathy is the key to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment for international researchers. By recognizing and understanding their unique psychological challenges, international researchers and their hosts/supervisors can work together to enhance job satisfaction and foster a diverse, innovative and successful research atmosphere.

pART of Research Calendar Competition 2024

There is a lot of work in science - and also a lot of art. Whether it’s the coffee cup print on important notes, a picture of the last field trip or impurities under the microscope - surprises, mishaps, or the long-awaited result – every research project of yours makes a difference!

Get in touch with the world and show with your pictures, collages, comics, drawings, etc. how diverse, exciting, and artistic your research is. You can send us your artwork until 31 May 2023, after which they will be presented for voting on the pART of Research website. The 12 pictures with the most votes will be printed in the pART of Research calendar 2024 and a book voucher will be given on top.

We are looking for you, dear scientists at HHU!

Has an experiment ever completely failed you, or have you ever had a strange misunderstanding with students? Tell us your story and take away the fear of failure in others. We would be happy to tell you more about the event and, if necessary, support you with communication coaching.

Researchers from non-EU countries must apply for a residence permit at the Immigration Office. The correct residence permit depends on your individual situation. Among other things, your monthly income and whether you have an employment contract with the university or receive a scholarship all determine which type of residence permit you require or are able to obtain. Some residence permits are more favourable than others in terms of qualification for a permanent settlement permit in Germany or mobility rights in other EU countries. This information event will give participants an overview of the different residence permits for researchers and help them find out which residence permits they are entitled to.
