….enjoying an exclusive stay at the wonderful Jabulani Safari lodge close to the Krüger National Park in the private Kapama Game Reserve. Spacious and luxurious accommodation in the middle of the bush, the best food by a dedicated chef, super service by the lovely staff, close contact with the rescued elephants, and one of the best sundowner spots. 😍

Ansie and Obert, 2 of the good spirits at Jabulani Safari, made us feel so welcome, fed us with only the most excellent delicacies prepared by the wonderful chef Duvan, and gave us into the knowledgeable hands of our safari guide Jason.
The luxurious lodge Is filled with magnificent art, boasts enchanting paths through nature and accommodates in beautiful spacious villas with wildlife right outside the windows and next to the porch. 🥰

on our Safaris, we luckily saw all the wild animals we had hoped to find in the bush! 🤩 The guides communicate with one another over the radio and let the others know where to find them. Over time, most of the animals got used to the non-threatening presence of humans in low-rumbling cars. Staying calm, driving slowly, keeping the distance at times, no feeding or any other kind of interference with the wild life is key to that. And the knowledgeable protectors and carers of the wild do a magnificent job. 🥰
Being here in the wild feels like walking through a zoo with all fences removed.

Colin, the manager of Simbavati Waterside in the private Klaserie Game Reserve (Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa 🇿🇦), explained to us the extensive sustainability initiatives they have implemented there: 99% solar energy, minimal use of plastic (i.e. only glas water bottles), collection of recyclable waste materials, use of environment-friendly detergents/paint etc, sophisticated waste water management and maximum effort not to disturb wild animals or making them dependent on human intervention (i.e. no food/leftovers for them).
All staff is super nice and attentive, all is meticulously maintained, game safaris are exciting, breakfast is super, lunch is delicious, and dinner is a fine dining concept! 🧡
