We produce brass instruments and we are convinced that quality is a value that outlives our time and never diminishes. The key to the quality of a musical instrument are the people that make these instruments. Their experience and handcraft skills have an influence on each individual instrument that leaves our production facilities in Waldkraiburg. In order to be able to secure this quality for ge

nerations of musicians to come, Miraphone accepts a number of apprentices each year. This procedure makes sure that the knowledge and tradition, which once came from Graslitz to Waldkraiburg, can be passed on from generation to generation. Not one of our instruments leaves Miraphone’s production facilities if we are not wholly convinced of its flawless quality. With this credo Miraphone has considerably contributed to the world of bands and orchestras since its foundation in 1946. And we are also willing to actively do our best for the future of wind music. Both amateur and professional musicians have an intimate relationship with their instrument. It means more to them than just a daily tool. And this is true for the co-workers at Miraphone, too: almost every employee plays a brass instrument and shares in the enthusiasm for wind music. Furthermore, Miraphone intensifies its close cooperation with renowned artists worldwide to successfully continue the achieved results of research and design efforts. That way we are able to create musical instruments made by music lovers for music lovers.

Today, we honor five of our most loyal employees who have collectively worked an incredible **210 years** at Miraphone! 🏆

𝟰𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀:
- 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗹: Our long-serving Head of Mechanical Engineering, who played a key role in introducing CNC production and CAD design at Miraphone. Johannes has also been our Chairman of the Supervisory Board for over 20 years.
- 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿: One of the few who trained as a locksmith with us and has showcased his expertise in the locksmith department for many years.
- 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗿: A true Miraphone descendant! His great-uncle was a founding member of the company in 1946, and his father was also employed here, serving as Managing Director for many years. Thomas has been a dedicated member of the instrument-making department.

- 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗿: Our long-serving board member – Thank you for your tireless dedication and all the valuable years!
- 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿: A valued member of the degreasing department, Manfred is also the mastermind behind our company celebrations, always ensuring we are well-fed during our events! 🍽️

Gene Pokorny and Lara Urrutia performed a recital at Beckman YOLA Center in Inglewood, CA, Sept. 4th. Gene spoke about each piece and displayed the parts on the screen during the performance. Gene played tubas by MIRAPHONE and Nirschl. Doug Tornquist put this together and we're grateful.

Matthew performs with Camerata - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra and has played as a guest with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Opera Australia.

Yesterday (March 20, 2024) was a special day for us as we bid a fitting farewell to our esteemed colleague Norbert Nold. After 20 years as the Marketing and Sales Director for Europe at Miraphone, Norbert is now retiring into a well-deserved rest. But that's not all - with these 20 years, we are simultaneously celebrating a company anniversary! 🌟 But don't worry, despite his departure, Norbert will not be leaving us entirely. He will continue to work on some projects for us, so it's not a sudden goodbye. Throughout his long career at Miraphone, Norbert particularly expanded the endorser pool, especially in European countries. He was always keen on maintaining contact with artists and, above all, fostering young artists and talents, bringing the advantages of Miraphone instruments closer to musicians at the numerous events. He also held a special place in his heart for military and police orchestras, among others. Norbert was also the one who introduced us to Dirk Hirthe, who played a significant role in the development of our best-selling Miraphone tubas, Hagen and Elekta. We would like to sincerely thank Norbert for his tireless dedication to the company and wish him all the best for a well-deserved retirement. We will miss your expertise, your passion, your warm-hearted nature, and especially your Hessian accent 😉 here at Miraphone!

After their joint recital at this year's ITEC 2023, Øystein Baadsvik and Florian Wielgosik gave a spontaneous and short duet. International Tuba-Euphonium Association

It starts on Monday, May 29th! The 50th ITEC starts in Tempe with many Miraphone artists. You can also test our instruments at our stand. Jeremy Lewis, Zach Collins and Miraphone CEO Niedermaier are looking forward to your visit.
