Kutaissi (georgisch ქუთაისი) ist die zweitgrößte Stadt Georgiens und Hauptstadt der Region Imeretien. Sie hat 200.611 Einwohner und dehnt sich über 60 km² aus. Sie liegt in der Kolchischen Tiefebene am Ufer des Rioni und ist das wirtschaftliche, industrielle und kulturelle Zentrum West-Georgiens. Seit Mai 2012 tagt das Parlament Georgiens in einem neuerrichteten spektakulären Gebäude in Kutaissi.
Im 8. Jahrhundert v. Chr. war Kutaia die Hauptstadt der Kolchis. Der Name der Stadt entstammt dem altgeorgischen Wort kuata und bedeutet „steinig“. Im 3. Jahrhundert v. Chr. wurde die Stadt im Poem Argonautika von Apollonios von Rhodos erwähnt.

Kutaisi was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis. Archaeological evidence indicates that the city functioned as the capital of the kingdom of Colchis in the VI-V centuries BC.[3] Several historians believe that, in Argonautica, a Greek epic poem about Jason and the Argonauts and their journey to Colchis, author Apollonius Rhodius considered Kutaisi their final destination as well as the residence of King Aeëtes. From 978 to 1122 CE, Kutaisi was the capital of the united Kingdom of Georgia, and from the 15th century until 1810, it was the capital of the Imeretian Kingdom.

Batumi (georgisch ბათუმი ) ist eine Hafenstadt am Schwarzen Meer. Als Hauptstadt Adschariens im südwestlichen Georgien hat sie etwa 180.000 Einwohner. Batumi ist ein Wissenschaftsstandort mit Hochschulen, Universität, Marinefakultät und landwirtschaftlichem Institut.

Batumi (Georgian: ბათუმი) is the second largest city of Georgia, located on the coast of the Black Sea in the country's southwest. Situated in a subtropical zone near the foot of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, Batumi is a popular tourist destination known for its varying weather–it is a bustling seaside resort during warm seasons, but can get entirely covered in snow during winter. Much of Batumi's economy revolves around tourism and gambling, but the city is also an important sea port and includes industries like shipbuilding, food processing, and light manufacturing. Since 2010, Batumi has been transformed by the construction of modern high-rise buildings, as well as the restoration of classical 19th century edifices lining its historic Old Town.

Borjomi (georgisch ბორჯომი) ist ein Kurort mit 13.826 Einwohnern in der georgischen Region Samzche-Dschawachetien.

Er liegt auf 820 m ü. NN im Kleinen Kaukasus am Fluss Kura und ist für sein gemäßigtes Klima, seine Naturschönheit und seine Heilquellen bekannt. Der Kurort grenzt unmittelbar an Georgiens größtes Naturschutzgebiet, den Bordschomi-Charagauli-Nationalpark.

Borjomi (Georgian: ბორჯომი) is a resort town in south-central Georgia with a population estimated at 14,445. It is one of the districts of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region and is situated in the northwestern part of the region in the picturesque Borjomi Gorge on the eastern edge of the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. The town is famous for its mineral water industry (which is the number one export of Georgia), the Romanov summer palace in Likani, and the World Wide Fund for Nature-site Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Borjomi mineral water is particularly well known in those countries which were part of the former Soviet Union; the bottling of mineral water is a major source of income for the area. Because of the supposed curative powers of the area's mineral springs, it is a frequent destination for people with health problems. Borjomi is also home to the most extensive ecologically-themed amusement park in the Caucasus.

Mildes maritimes Klima, warme Winter, wenig Schnee, kühle Sommer. Jahresniederschlag 900 mm, Temperatur im August durchschnittlich 17 Grad. Sanatorien, Polyklinik, Ferienwohnungen, Saison Mai - November. Heilwasser wird ab Sommer 2002 auch in Flaschen abgefüllt.

This place has the unique location, healing springs, ecologically clean environment and beautiful nature. It is located in the mountainous area of subtropical zone.

Es ist archäologisch bewiesen, dass die Wurzeln des Weinbaus in Georgien bis in die Jahre zwischen 7000 und 5000 v. Chr. hineinreichen. Seit ca. 4000 v. Chr. wird in Georgien nun die Tradition des Weinbaus gepflegt und das Land ist heute immer noch bekannt für seine hervorragenden Weine.
Der Wein ist ein fester Bestandteil der georgischen Kultur. Diese Verankerung sieht man sehr deutlich sowohl in der georgischen Folklore als auch in seiner Architektur. Man kann heute viele Ornamente zum Kulturgut Wein an den Wänden und Fassaden der georgischen Kirchen und Kloster finden.
Der Wein wurde anfangs in großen Tongefäßen - „Qvevri“, die im Boden eingegraben wurden, aufbewahrt. Diese riesigen Amphoren wurden bis zum Rand eingegraben und gärten in der kühlen Erde. Einige Gefäße konnten bis zu 50 Jahre in der Erde begraben bleiben.

Georgia is one of the oldest wine regions in the world. The fertile valleys of the South Caucasus house the source of the world's first cultivated grapevines and neolithic wine production, from over 8,000 years ago. Due to the many millennia of wine in Georgian history, and its key economical role, the traditions of its viticulture are entwined and inseparable with the country's national identity.
Among the best-known regions of Georgia where wine is produced are Kakheti (further divided onto micro-regions of Telavi and Kvareli), Kartli, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, and Abkhazia.
UNESCO added the ancient traditional Georgian winemaking method using the Kvevri clay jars to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists.
