Join Our Team at Drivethru Kite & Surf Camp in Hvide Sande, Denmark, for the 2025 Season!

We are looking for motivated and passionate individuals to join our team for the upcoming summer season (May - October). Whether you’re a seasoned pro or looking for a fun volunteer experience, if you’re excited to share your love for surfing, kiting, or helping out in a vibrant camp environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Positions Available:
- Kite Instructor
- Surf Instructor
- Volunteers
- Housekeeping

Work Schedule:
- Flexible working hours, approximately 20-30 hours per week
- Additional time for social activities and preparation

What We Are Looking For:
Kite & Surf Instructors:
- Reliable and passionate instructors—being an instructor is your profession
- Eligible to work in Denmark (EU work permit or similar)
- IKO, VDWS, ISA, or equivalent certification
- Current first aid certificate and lifeguard training
- Excellent communication skills in English (German and Danish are a plus)
- Experience in Wing Foil is a plus but not required
- Basic maintenance skills for surf/kite equipment
- Additional skills like photography, videography, and kite & surf repair are a plus!

Housekeeping & Volunteers:
- Friendly, reliable, and dedicated individuals who enjoy helping and contributing to the smooth running of the camp
- Enthusiasm for working in a team and with guests
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and order in the camp
- No previous experience is required—just a positive attitude and eagerness to learn!

Our Story

It all started back in the year 2013 when three good friends were sitting together and having some beer…

You can already figure out that in the beginning the whole idea of setting up our own surfcamp was a crackpot idea. But it just kept sticking in our minds and filled our hearts with a strong longing for fulfiment. As this thought would not keep quiet in our heads, one day it happened that one of us, Alex, came back from his first surf trip to Sri Lanka and literally was enchanted by the breathtaking nature of the island and especially by its constant and perfect waves that he had been surfing during his trip. To make a long story short: He just found the perfect place for finally setting up our first drivethru surfcamp.

Of course, the beer helped a little bit to make the decision for Raphi and Waschdl more easy. And by the end of 2013 we finally found ourselves sitting on a plane on our way to Sri Lanka - together with some other friendly accomplices and a huge bag of surfboards - realizing what we were about to do and hoping for the best.

In our very first surfcamp in Ahangama we had room for eight guests and enjoyed the island and the surf very much. But with the time passing by, there were more and more people wanting to stay and surf with us. So after some trade-off-discussions the three of us finally decided to move to a bigger place in 2014: Madiha! Time passed by and in October 2016 we opened our second location in Polhena, only 2.5 km away from Madiha. Thanks again to our friendly neighbour Jayalath who - completely randomly - told us about a guy from Polhena who put his hotel for sale. So we got in quickly - and recognised for the first time: Our dream was becoming true and there was actually the chance that all this could finally pay us a living. Holy Sh..awarma!
