Not everybody is lucky enough to have a good friend, sibling or parent who is able to help them learn how to hunt and/or explore the bush.
I started this service as a way for those people to access the help they need to get started.
I want to help you learn all of the basics so you can go off and have confidence in your own abilities and knowledge.
I want to help people to have fun reconnecting with their adventurous instincts in a safe, responsible and ethically sound way.
Deer are incredibly challenging animals to hunt on foot in thick forest, particularly Sambar deer.
They have evolved amazing senses of smell, hearing and ability to detect movement.
The challenge of getting close to deer is what attracts me to them.
Deer were introduced to Victoria many years ago and they have since adapted well and spread into most forested areas of the state.
The habitat I prefer to seek them is the beautiful, rugged wilderness of the high country.
Simply spending time out in these environments is a joy in itself.
For me it inspires an appreciation of nature.
If the idea of learning to hunt or simply get close to wild deer appeals to you, please get in touch.
All the best,
Jared Ellison
