Could you visit waterfall after waterfall when traveling to Iceland? Jodoar shares their thoughts:

"There are so many beautiful things to see, but at the same time, it can get overwhelming. It’s important to find balance in your trip so you’re not just visiting waterfall after waterfall. We selected a few that seemed extra stunning and had truly powerful experiences. We took a boat trip on a glacier lagoon and witnessed a piece of the glacier break off and plunge into the water, becoming an iceberg. We climbed down and walked through a continental rift. We bathed in hot springs. We admired breathtaking black sand beaches. In Reykjavík, we visited Perlan, where we learned a lot about Iceland, both its geological history and its people. A wonderful trip that absolutely lived up to our expectations!"

Stort tillykke til Jakob Ebbinger Didring for hans fantastiske foto fra Ring Road Route 1. Jakobs billede blev folkets favorit og vandt med flest stemmer! Fantastic trip!
"We traveled as a whole family with children, grandchildren, and partners to Reykjavik. The trip was beyond expectations! Everything was great! Especially the wonderful excursions to the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon. We also visited the Eimverk Distillery for a tasting, which we highly recommend. We ate at several restaurants and always had excellent food, with fantastic staff. The breakfast at Fosshotel Baron was very good. The weather varied every day, but it was mostly sunny and nice. We are super satisfied with everything!"

Did you know that the black streaks in Mýrdalsjökull's ice layers are ash from past volcanic eruptions that have been forming for hundreds of years, including from Katla, the powerful volcano beneath the glacier? 🌋❄️

Unlike many countries that have a single Santa, Iceland has thirteen! The Jólasveinar (Yule Lads) are mischievous characters who visit children one by one on the 13 nights before Christmas.
Kids place a shoe on their windowsill each night, hoping for a treat from these quirky visitors—if they've been good. But beware, naughty behavior might earn you... a rotten potato! 🥔
The Yule Lads are the mischievous sons of Grýla, a fearsome troll who makes stew from naughty children, and her lazy husband Leppalúði. They also have a giant black cat, the Christmas Cat, who hunts those without new clothes for Christmas.
Can you guess which two we met? 🎅
