This well-equipped holiday home with views to Rubjerg Knude is situated near Lønstrup and just north of Løkken. Lønstrup is a charming, active and lively resort with narrow streets, galleries, shops, inns, ice-cream parlours and eateries. Many of the restaurants boast outdoor tables with a view of the sea, and fish dishes are naturally a fixture on the menu. Many artists have been attracted to the area and you can visit their galleries, workshops, and museums. In the outskirts of Lønstrup the fishermen still pull their boats up on to the shore every day upon their return. This charming town with its unique artefacts, many attractions and beautiful surroundings is an attractive destination all year round. There is a wide range of accommodation in Lønstrup including hotels, campsites, holiday apartments and cottages. Lønstrup is home to approximately 500 inhabitants, a figure you can multiply by 20 in the summer months. The town is about 13 km. outside Hjørring and consists of a small sheltered town centre facing the sea and a number of newer houses opposite the old town. There is a fantastic beach at Lønstrup which has blue flag status. At the northern edge of the beach the waves are tamed by breakwaters creating tranquil lagoons with shallow child-friendly paddling water. Behind the breakwaters you'll find ideal conditions for windsurfing. The name "Lønstrup" is said to stem from a farm called "Løthentorp" which once lay to the West of the town where today there is only open sea. Additional information:
