We are excited to announce that the technology behind RoadAids proximity-based alerts has been acquired, and as a result we are shutting down the service.
RoadAid launched in 2012 as a way for commuters to report traffic jams and police speed traps.
Over 250,000 reports have been submitted through the service, from users in various countries. RoadAid has grown beyond our imagination, and has even been nominated several awards, including "Best Danish app".
We are grateful to each of you that helped make the service better by reporting your traffic observations on your everyday commutes. None of this would have been possible without you.
As a part of the agreement, RoadAid as you know it, will stop its activities effective today. The site and apps are going offline, and any content will be permanently deleted.
We are aware that this creates an inconvenience for our users. For that we apologize. However, as an alternative to RoadAid, we suggest giving WAZE a try.
Waze is a free traffic and navigation app, providing real-time help for drivers all over the world.
