The highlight of the facility is the opportunity which it provides for visitors to learn about the native people while at the same time discovering and experiencing several aspects of the unique heritage of the indigenous people in a serene environment. In addition to live demonstration of cassava bread baking and basket weaving, visitors also have the rare opportunity to be entertained by the Kalinago Dancers, a dynamic and versatile cultural group of talented Kalinago young people. As you begin the forty-five minute tour of the facility with your Kalinago guide, you can feel the total immersion into the indigenous people’s heritage down to the Isulukati River and then up to the majestically imposing Kabet. At the Kabet, you will be entertained by the pulsating rhythms of the Kalinago Dancers proudly sharing the rich and unique heritage of the indigenous people in song,music and dance. Complementary cassava bread sampling is also provided and you are afforded the opportunity to actually participate in the preparation of your own cassava bread if you’ve got the time.
