Dear friends

I want to give you an update on the guesthouse after riding out hurricane Irma.

First, the most important thing is our staff Elizabeth, Jenny, Julie, Jose and Wanda, plus their families are ok. Our other beloved locals in our community survived the storm too. There are many poor families that I am sure have damage to their homes and will need help with repairs. If I hear of any opportunities to help from outside the area through donations. I will pass the info along to you via posts.

In regards to the villa. We had some wind damage and the fence between our yard and beach area came down. We also have damage to the Palapa grass roof over the daybed, and the porch roof over the front entrance. The garden took a beating as well. But I am so grateful and thankful that our people, town and island did not face something that was far worse. We now pray for those that are still in the path of this horrific force of nature.
