What once was the Libería de Culture. The building on the other side of Plaza España is now abandoned and decaying. So sad.

The marker on the wall of the building reads - "En testimonio del aporte decisivo de la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA) en la creation y desarrollo de la institución nacional encargada deapreservacion y resturacion del patrimonio cultural del país." / In testimony to the decisive contribution of the Organization of American States (OAS) in the creation and development of the national institution responsible for the preservation and restoration of the country's cultural heritage.

The Faro a Colón in Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic. The Faro is reflected in the shimmering pool of rain water.

The Caribbean Sea at Punta Torrecilla, Santo Domingo Este a little before 6AM. Hurricane Beryl is preparing to pass by Dominican Republic but the sea is still fairly calm. Nothing out of the ordinary. There is a slight breeze and little rain sprinkles but, so far, all is calm.

The Dominican Dog Blog dogs, Aziza and Buenagente were having fun while watching the Cruise Ship SH Diana coming into port. SH Diana is a 5-star, 96 room luxury cruise ship and is largest ship in the Swan Hellenic fleet.
